What makes the perfect family man?

Disclaimer: I was unsure whether to put this in the off topic or self improvement. I chose here because I reasoned its intended to help guide improvement myself and whoever else reads and benifits.

Start:

What qualities or virtues do you guys think makes the perfect family man?

I'm only 23 at the moment, but it's my ultimate goal. I want to be able to provide for a family, with a house, a wife, kids and a dog.

So far I'm thinking:

Fitness: longevity and ability to physically provide and assist

Income: in order to help pay for things

Boundaries: so as not to get walked all over by everyone else in the house

Loyalty: so I don't just throw it all away (I'm on this forum so I do realise how hard this can actually be in practise.)

What else do you guys have? And what's your reasoning behind it?
