Why am I struggling now? Are some streaks harder?

    Hey all

    Been PMOing 2 time a day for 7 years or so.

    So I managed several 7 day streaks a few weeks ago. It was actually not too bad. I was able to control my urges and the only reason I relapsed was because I wasn't taking it very seriously and thought I'd test my erection on P on day 7 (stupid I know). Since then I've been feeling happier and less anxious.

    HOWEVER recently (last 3 weeks) I've been really struggling to get past day 3. This time its so hard. I have urges that literally take over my mind and almost physically hurt me. Its soooo much harder these last weeks. I'm a lot more serious and committed these past attempts too so I don't get it.

    I like to think its because my 7 day streaks already started to damage the hold PMO has had on me for years and now my brain is desperately fighting back to the realisation that life without PMO is a possibility. Are these just chasers to those good streaks I had?

    Did you find your streaks were the same each time or have some been easier than others?

    Hey, I made some research on it and I can send you the references but I am doing my homework and took a quick look at the forum so I can't make any citations. The thing is everytime you quit, your brain sends you stressor in hope that you would give up and go for another PMO session to get its good old dopamine rush. If you experience this stressor effects and PMO, your brain rewire itself to the point that '' Oh he couldn't resist it so whenever he decides to cut my dopamine off, I'll send stronger stressor. The correlation between number of quits and tougher PAWS is close to 1 which means everytime you quit and come back, it will be harder to stay away from PMO. Fight now to enjoy sex later!

    First 30 days are the hardest (everyone of them is really hard) after that it gets a little easier. Physical creavings are a real thing, I always got 'stings' in my heart/stomach like when you have a heartbreak. Try doing burpees, splashing cold water in your face and telling yourself no outloud when you get cravings in the first few days.
