Says the guy with a mutt for his photo.:D

By the way, this is not about me salivating over the sight of a female photo. I'm just curious why they feel the need to post their own picture here... on this site of all places.

Whilst you may have a point I believe the girls I've been liaising with to be real and themselves, they've also posted different pictures of themselves, clearly they could be using another girls profile of facebook or something, but that would be some highly involved deception.

It's not about 'sexy' really. It's about posting a picture of yourself.... and that women are much more likely to do this than men.

  7. I can't speak for men, although there are MANY men here who have pictures of themself, so that last paragraph isn't even relevant. The ratio is different because there are a lot more men here, in general, than women.

But I can answer that first question, at least for myself. When I came back here, I reconnected with an old friend @Lazarus Shuttlesworth, and when I saw that he had himself in his thumbnail I was super proud of him, because I think that's a big step, to be open about who you really are here. So that's part of why I chose a picture of myself rather than some other thumbnail. I'm not ashamed of who I am, what I look like, my problems, etc. Why shouldn't I be allowed to have a picture of myself? Men are allowed to have pictures of themselves, or pictures of other famous men, and many of them are very attractive. I don't see the women here complaining about being triggered. You need to learn how to see a picture of a woman and not freak out.

  8. I guess women have bigger balls than men, then, since we're more likely to own up to our identity on this site. But no, let's just assume all they want is attention. There's clearly no other possible reason why a PERSON (not just woman, person) might want to have a photo of themselves as their avatar.

Well, if that's a picture of you then that's certainly shameless. :D

What exactly is shameless, because she happens to be attractive >.< CassTeaElle has many struggles in her life, she's an inspiration if you ask me.

It's stating a fact... she has no shame openly posting her picture here.

From the sociological perspective, this is an interesting development... though I'm not sure whether a progressive one.

  14. I can't tell if this is some kind of backhanded insult, but it is indeed a picture of me. I'm pretty sick of even having to say that, like I'm some deceptive weirdo who used some other girls picture instead of a picture of a flower or something.

Honestly, I couldn't even stomach through half of these comments. The assuumtions and judgements made in this thread are so offensive, far more so than a picture of a woman. Honestly, not gonna lie, I'm super disappointed in my pal Tweeby for half the stuff that was said here. You all are treating women like they're some kind of disgusting creature with only possibly ill intentions. Some of the "possible reasons" you boys have come up with are so ridiculous and outlandish and terrible, and those are seriously the first things that came to mind, when asking yourself why a woman might want a picture of herself on here? You should be ashamed of yourselves, honestly. Do you really think that little of women that you can't think if a single reason to give then the benefit of the doubt and NOT assume that they're all a bunch of attention seeking whores?

I do apologise for some of the stuff I implied, I know a lot of the girls here are experiencing ongoing struggles which shouldn't be taken lightly or made fun off.

  16. And guess what boys, I haven't gotten any attention from my photo. I've had a few people inbox message me in a way that makes it pretty clear they're only doing that because I'm a woman, and I haven't responded to them. I've very happily married to a great man who makes me feel beautiful everyday. I don't need attention from boys on a porn addiction site.

And even if I did want to feel good about myself by getting a compliment or two, so freaking what. It's not like my boobs are on display or I'm changing my picture every day to keep fishing for compliments. Women are here... they have faces that they might want to put on their avatars. Get over it. If you want to live in a bubble and ever see a woman's picture, good luck with that.

It is moderation policy to refuse images of topless people (regardless of gender), which may include sports figures, athletic/weightlifting pics, etc. Additionally, We refuse images that highlight sexual features or depict people in sexually suggestive poses.

When it comes to selfies however, we try to be fair to the image. Many people, both men and women, post selfies. The fact that they may appear attractive in no way means they are taunting others. We simply assume that for them, how they look may be a self care item for them. Many people recovering from addiction find themselves now engaging in habits such as grooming, gym time, etc. that improve their physical appearance. While it does make them more attractive to others, it also is an indicator they care enough about themselves to take time for those activities.

It may also be helpful to consider that as porn addicts, we have trained our brains to look at others solely based on how attractive they are for arousal potential, as opposed to who they are as a human being. It is not their fault we look at them that way.

Finally, we are a community of all races, genders, religions, nationalities, and creeds. Please refrain from treating each other disrespectfully or stereotyping all members of a group.

As a result of actions in this thread, we are locking it at this time.
