What are some practical things to do when withdrawals set in?

For the first week or two, I'd spend as much time as I could on nofap and keep reading and learning. That allows you to acknowledge your withdrawals and puts you in a supportive environment where you are more likely to succeed and many other people are here to help you. Start a journal for accountability and so that you have a record of your early struggles. If heaven forbid, you reset or relapse at any point you can come back to the journal and know what went wrong and make a more effective strategy the next time. Spend some time on here pondering what new habits you would like to build to replace your PMO habit. Start small and build those habits over time. You are building an army of weapons and barriers to help you beat PMO while tackling fear and uncertainty at the same time.

If it gets really bad, try hitting the panic button and slowly calm yourself down. Remember you work yourself up into your own frenzies.

I go out for runs, and work out. Hang out with my friends. Do activities that distract you from the mindset of PMO'ing.
