Woke up last night beating my meat (wtf)

    It's kind of awkward. Yesterday I meditated before bed time so I could fall asleep easily (usually my urges comes at night, before sleep). I woke up 1 or 2 hours later, right hand on my D, edging like a zombie (I wasn't fully conscious) but after a few seconds I stopped, I didn't relapse. Man, I'm at a point where I'm M while sleeping, it's terrifying, I feel like I have no self-control. Do you all have some tips for me, to master my unconscious ? During the day, I get few urges and I beat them easily (push-ups, meditation, walks, cold shower) but the night is my enemy, I don't want to relapse again, I put too much effort to get where I'm at.

    I have had that happen at night so many times. It is such a problem for me that I now tie the drawstring on my shorts in a series of knots so I can’t get to my D without untying all the knots and waking up in the process.

    This has happened to me a couple of times and I felt the same way. You should start learning about prefrontal cortex. That is a part of your brain which is responsible for self-control. "Willpower Instinct" is an amazing book to read on this topic. The techniques and information provided in this book are a real game changer. Make sure you give it a try. Hope this helps.     This sounds awful, friend. I am sorry to hear this.

    Though I haven't had that happen to me before, dreams made me relapse before or they at least created urges throughout the day.

    Meditation before sleeping should help, so I don't understand why it doesn't for you.

    How long till you searched for something sexually provocative on the internet or even watched porn and sexually stimulating images?

    Recommend a book power of concentration. Has an amazing practical program as well inside. It's circulating freely on the internet, often given out for free during psychology or sportmanship consultancy programs as it's out of copyright 20th century gem.

    I also relapse due to this thing 2 days a rows but after then I increase my so much workout and from that day i never relapse yet

    Sorry for the late answer.

    If you try everything in the end but continue to fail, I must recommend you try to abstain from Internet for a long period of time and only access it briefly for practical reasons.

    I know this is extreme but it helped my stay off fapping for nearly a year. And it's been a long time since I didn't have to be this careful. In truth, you may not need to be this much vigilant for much more than a month. But YMMV.

    After you feel safer, you can change the plan to simply being connected to the Internet for the longer periods ONLY when you're in public places like a café or a library. I stopped doing this in the last few months and I had urges again that really narrowed my margin of safety. It really works well for me.

    I understand that this might seem like a huge sacrifice because the Internet has become a part of our lives. But great rewards require the corresponding in size sacrifices. And it will only be temporary anyway.

    I'm agree with you NoFap is easier without Internet. But I have online classes this semester so I must constantly be on the Internet.

    From this week I'll try to stay outside, at the library at school, to avoid my bedroom confort.

  13. Happened to me especially when I'm in long streaks. on a few occasions, I woke up with my hand on my dick and I was just jacking off. I was shocked. I woke up then I stopped it. So yeah it can happen to some men. It has now subsided although thankfully

  18. Yes, Yes, yes! I have had this problem for about two years now. I have noted this in my journal for quite some time. This thing we all face is called Sexsomnia. I think it affects like 7% of the population. This especially strikes me when I am on long streaks. Sometimes I stop it, sometimes I don't, but one thing you guys should accept the number 1 fact is that IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT, DO NOT BLAME/SHAME YOURSELF. I sleep naked, so this makes my problem even worse for me. I may take some of your guys idea into consideration(the socks on your hands is a funny one but it may work out). I don't know what caused this, sometimes I notice when my sleep patterns are fucked it happens but I do not know. But it is a problem on our journey.

    The glove comment reminds me of a traditional saying used by a coach the day before sports competitions. He'd tell players, "Make sure you wear your barbed wire mittens to bed tonight." Everybody knew this was code for not MO'ing the night before an important competition. Back then, it was still respectable to view MO as negatively impacting performance, whether athletic and otherwise. Society has lost that wisdom.
