Would this help in my recovery process?

So earlier today I relapsed because I had watched a questionable video intentionally on Facebook. Then once I realized that, I was debating whether or not to watch P and MO. Ultimately, I did. But I think that from now on it would be best that if I out of habit decide to watch a video like that again (it was a twerking video), it would be best to reset my counter, but not watch P or MO.

What do you guys think? I think it's obvious, but it's probably the best course of action

Instead of reasoning with yourself that way, you should just make an effort to abstain from all videos like that. When you watch a sexual video, no matter what it is, you are planting a seed inside of your brain. It will grow in one of two ways: either it reaches the point where you act on it, or it eventually dies off. Most of the time, it isn't the latter, and it leads you to replace.

Here is my advice to you: just limit your time on the internet and avoid websites like facebook, instagram, etc. At least for a while.

Just be conscious of what you are allowing to seep into your thoughts/life.

PornNevermore is so right. An addicted brain is going to rationalize requests like this one. Compromises for just a bit more of a hit. It's very hard to get past the habit if you allow yourself to be exposed to triggers. If this is one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do, then make it as easy as possible for you. Deactivate your social media. Install porn blocking software. Tell a friend what you are doing for accountability. Strategize for success, and transmute that pent up sexual energy into creative and constructive outlets.

Both of them are correct! Stay away from media as much as possible. There is no such thing as safe P substitute.

Lol, all of you misunderstood me. I never said anything about looking at safe substitutes or rationalizing those thoughts. All I said was that instead of going to PMO after looking at a P substitute and resetting my counter, that I should just reset my counter and not PMO. Of course I'm trying to avoid P substitutes. But you guys all confirmed what I was asking about though. Thanks!
