  1. When losing weight, it's important not to judge progress by your weight; instead of using a scale it's recommended to use a tape to measure your waist. Weight tends to fluctuate and changes based on different factors, taping gives a more reliable assessment. You may ask yourself. "how does this apply to NoFap?" The truth is, you will always have urges and desires to look at porn, however, this does not mean you are still under porn's influences. Instead of basing our recovery on how frequently we experiences urges or desires. Why not instead focus on our thoughts? A smoker may go a year without smoking yet still have desires to smoke from time to time, this is normal and applies to porn addiction as well. If we are destined to experience temptation from time to time, how do you distinguish addiction from recovery? The answer lies in your thoughts. Are you having thoughts of BDSM or vanilla sex? Are you having thoughts from time to time of natural, healthy sex or sissy porn? If your thoughts are clean and natural, how can you still be under porn's influence? So let us not base our recovery on how we feel or what we believe, and instead base it on our thoughts. How do they compare to when you were addicted to PMO?
