Some words of advice for the many bisexual/bicurious men on this site

  1. unfortunately everything, even sports are now politicized.
If this was a forum about health, and say I was saying a natural supplment worked for me - and someone asked 'why isn't it FDA approved or why doesn't my doctor recommend?"
I would have to give the political reasons to help him understand - the same thing goes here - unfortunately all of this is very politicized - for example sexuality and gender - because there are political ramifications, it means what one might perceive in mainstream media and sources as 'advice' has a political bent. Understanding that helps people to heal.

  2. It is 'accepted' by 'experts' for political reasons - even activists admit that - and the language the op uses "homophobic' for example are political activist terms. I reject them as many others do.
There is no 'settled science' on any of this.

    Post information like this:

is what gets the threads deleted by activists.

Further all PMO users or even ones who engage in fantasizing, know escalation can occur - the mainstream/activist view is that's your 'repressed' sexuality - we know it's the result of escalation and addiction the same way that alcohol and cannabis might lead to harder drugs, or at least heavier use in one seeking escape.

  3. No one said it was- but there are plenty of activists who try to block people from seeking help for this. many people unfortunately feel safer 'in' their trauma than leaving it, hence the woman regularlly abused who won't leave her lover.

Yes, and trauma can also mean abandonment or neglect or lack of emotional comfort and support from fathers and mothers- these needs can be sexualized later in life.

This is a broad assumption with no evidence, it is simply name calling. You are saying any orthodox Christian Muslim, Hindu, Buddish or Jew is a straight up bigot for finding a behavior immoral. They also find sex outside marriage immoral - does that make them bigots ? If someone objects to drunkenness does that make them a acloholphob?

I mentioned that Aristotle, Plato, Socrates all found it immoral are you calling them bigots?

I would say the thread has not gone offtopic per se, you're just catching a glimpse of an ongoing issue when people try to discuss the issue. A discussion begins to be had, then the threads get locked or moderated in some way and the conversation is lost. I could understand this happening if people truly were being homophobic perhaps but nobody is in these threads, or if they are it's happening rarely. Even if people actually are saying controversial things, I still believe it's important the discussion can be had, cause stopping people having it at all wont help.

  5. @ivanhoe @AtomicTango I think it's enough. We can tell everything, give them arguments, opinions, but in the end only one opinion matters...theirs. This is happening everywhere and I start to feel like I'm in some communist thread on 4chan.

If a mod sees this, when someone posts something about ,,confusion about his sexuality because of porn'' just put a chart with all the sexualities provided by the LGBT community to choose from and say that this is their ,,true self''. Why to give some opinions or anything like that. Who cares? I really give up on trying to understand something from this.

I'll just give up on porn, believe what I feel it's right and good for me and see how my mind and body will respond. I think I'll resume therapy again.

Ivan was saying some utterly ridiculous things (equating homosexuality to hedonism), and is clearly homophobic.

I'm here to help by sharing my own experiences, but I won't let bigotry go unchallenged either.

He's insecure AF, and it's obvious.

Therapy is a good idea, but make sure you get the right therapist. What I mean by this is one who listens and tries to make sense of your issues, rather than putting labels on you right away.

You also need to get out there more and meet people. There is more to life than sexuality.

  8. "His blasphemous remarks are proof of his heresy" as the inquisitor once said.

Homophobic is a empty slur. I backed up everything I said, you've only responded with name calling.

"Same-sex sexuality is associated with impulsive/compulsive behavior and addiction. These health disparities may be related to stable individual differences in self-control."

Evidence? Oh as usual your name calling has none.

Let's see if you can answer this time.

Believe me when I say I'm trying not to come across as rude here, but even if he was being homophobic or ridiculous, so what? If what he is saying is so stupid, it should be easy to disprove it without having to fall back on just the accusation of bigotry, which to me is a lazy argument. If he's so insecure, why is he the one providing all the sources and statistics while the people arguing against him have nothing other than just calling him a meaningless buzzword?

This goes to show how ignorant, insecure and mislead you are. You've literally just quoted a YourBrainOnPorn article, which was founded and managed by Gary Wilson (before his death), whose best friend was literally gay, and who saw homosexuality as normal, and not the problem.

Can some straight men get some SSA fantasies due to porn escalation? For sure. But your statement is making out like SSA is not natural, and is more of a compulsive behaviour and addiction. This is retarded.

I started this thread to try and help lots of bisexual men on this forum, but instead you've tried to promote your views on how SSA is hedonism.

Honestly, just go and suck a dick dude. I've got no time for your insecurity anymore.

His evidence is religion and old philosophies. And the reason he is insecure is because he feels the need to undermine homosexuality as a normal orientation. No comfortably straight guy would do this.

  14. Actually it shows i am secure enough to read material from someone who, as you state, is pro gay.
whoah, the PC police will becoming for you soon.

No, you have always been too angry to actually read what I said. I said what we call SSA behaviors and origins can include those things.

So it means I am open minded enough to read the material - but you refuse to read Aristotle or the Gita. Ok.
But the actual article proves exactly what I said about higher levels of promiscuity, addictions and lower impulse control. I don't condemn these people morally they are struggling with pain probably from childhood trauma

    Proof I am insecure?

  15. No my 'evidence' is not that - You are too angry to read what I am writing.
I asked if you thought that someone who was orthodox jewish or muslim or Christian is by default homophobic. Or if Aristotle is 'homophobic'.

If you could meet Aristotle now, would that be your response to him 'Shut up you ignorant homophobe!"?

You say 'old' as if somehow they are outdated? As if human nature had magically changed in 1-2 thousand years?

My 'evidence' are articles citing studies.

Yes, all of those guys are bigots if that was indeed their position. Love is love, and if men and women can love each other, why can't men? Answer this question.

  17. Ok, for the record:
St. Paul, Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Buddha, Jesus and the billions of their followers are all ignorant bigots, compared to your enlightened self. Got it.

Men can certainly love other men, a man, or mankind. You truly don't know or have sexualized the nature of love if you think otherwise.

Well history prove that you can have millions and millions of people with bigoted views, and millions and millions with progressive views.

Your argument is incredibly weak because you are using numbers to defend bigotry. May I remind you that millions of people saw slavery as ok back in the day, but it was still objectively wrong.

Ok, so what you are doing here is using the "You must secretly want to fuck spiders" argument. To put it in simple terms, you're insinuating that if someone is opposed to a thing, they must actually like it, and be projecting. This argument doesnt really hold any merit and boils down to name-calling. Not to mention, Ivan isnt really being homophobic is he, he's just saying things that you personally dont agree with.

Look, I understand what your original point was (go back and see what my first post on this thread was, I addressed it directly) but you repeatedly calling people bigots and homophobes doesnt endear people to your argument. You started this thread being all positive and friendly, then as soon as you run up against any opposition the facade drops and you start insulting people even though, as far as I can tell, noone has insulted you. You seem to be getting more and more offended over things you THINK Ivan is saying as opposed to directly addressing his actual words.

Bigot is a meaningless word and you render it even more meaningless by overusing it to such a drastic degree. There is also a thinly veiled level of arrogance behind saying something like this, like you are trying to insinuate that your worldview is more intelligent than the views of some of the most genius thinkers of all time. Not to mention, you are opening yourself up to being labelled a bigot yourself when you oppose something now that becomes commonplace in the future. Be careful in being so quick to label people, it can easily be used against you.
