Day 3 4am Okay it’s more challenging to sleep at my apt than my moms. Her place is dead silent my place I hear the neighbor below watching tv or talking. But I think with enough of the right style of meditation I can sleep through anything.
Some thoughts of where this challenge came from. It came from my experience of living as a monk Living at the monastery Some years back I was a monk, so I felt like sharing what living as a monk is: 4am : wake up everyday before 4am no excuses.Then a cold bath and hurry to pray, meditate and having a spiritual lecture 8am: breakfast and then we do different chores, some build things, others cook. Others more advanced monks dedicate the rest of the day to pray and meditate. I was in charge of making lunch to every body, usually a different monk helped me daily in the kitchen. 12pm: I was free. I spent the rest of the day learning to play an instrument, doing meditation, yoga, learning different skills or simply enjoying nature. 5pm: we all gathered again to meditate, pray and study spiritual scriptures. 8pm: time to go to sleep. We did this day after day. In general is a great experience and it shows you a more spiritual side of life, the atmosphere of a monastery is very pure you only breath spirituality, monks are very special people you don't find anywhere else; money and women do not exist. You are able to get a glimpse of something beyond the materialistic world. It's a life changing experience. Conclusion: why don't you try to spend a vacation at a monastery the energy, practices and people of the place will have a deep impact in your mind.
I haven't had wet dreams since getting up at 4am. But I'm struggling to sleep right away because I hear noises through teh floor So I will probably get a bedframe to elevate my bed off the ground reducing floor noise I liked being on the floor. But the frame converts into a couch so that'll be nice. If I could find a way to sleep without hypnosis I'd have 35 minutes a day to do something. I'd probably read or meditate
I lost a chance to succeed today.got up at 5 am and then thought why not sleep A LITTLE MORE,LEADING ME TO A NOCTURNAL EMISSION.on the very first day.i couldn't get it. i'll surely get it done from tomorrow onward.I feel bad about failing discipline is something that i hate now,it's coz i know that it's the very thing that led me to porn addiction and neuron fry up.will try to do this from today itsel feith the rest of the day.
Day 4 4am Slept a lot better last night. I think it was quieter and I read about how to train your mind to sleep through noise I still might get that bed frame though would be so nice to sit on a couch after work instead of the same desk chair I work in I’m doing one day work in person one day gym when they open at 5am.
Day 5 4am I tried to use my joker card but was just used to 4am so I got up doing laundry and making breakfast at six 4am Breakfast journal train meditate read work meditate sleep on weekends read and watch anime extra japa to offset anime watching
DAY 1/365 4:00 AM I broke my dopamine detox for this post. Brush and stuff Meditation Organizing/cleaning my table. Made a To-Do list for the day. Studying according to the list.
Day 6 744am used my joker card been feeling so sleepy Did about 11 hours today Get gome 615 drink smoothie, wash, meditate sleep at 730pm. This would work. It’s just been a struggle because I been using hypnosis for sleep which is 35mins making me sleep at 805. Still 7.5 hours sleep is about enough once you’re used to it from what I’ve heard. Getting up at four is epic. I like it. I want to get to the gym at 5am when they open on Monday and do my barbell lifts and abs then finish at home so I don’t have to spend much time there. Im gradually getting comfortable with people. I used to just listen to spiritual music the whole time to stay calm but now I don’t listen to music idk maybe it’s time to do it just for gym
