I know I'm preaching to the choir so to speak but the best advice I ever had in regard to managing your triggers is to leave the room when ever it happens like you would if an annoying person is trying to provoke you.

I'm convinced that loneliness and insecurity is definitely the root of most addictions.
I wish that it was as easy to take and follow advice as it is to give it. For example there was a guy on here telling me about being on only fans and I told him it's their job to keep you addicted and he shouldn't be anywhere near that site since the women on there are all pros and are seasoned campaigners in the art of "sex, lies and rinsing guys". No prizes for guessing where I have been the last two hours. Don't get me wrong I haven't spent money on there but it really can end up taking up way too much of my time. It's not just the sex and porn that attracted me to these women. They are just so captivating when they feel the need to be. My god do they have a flair for performance, charisma and deception. I can see what someone on another thread meant when they said about adult sites being the crack cocaine of porn. When these girls give you attention they really can leave you wanting to come back for more. Women that can make me laugh as well as make me horny, sexually and none sexually speaking, always have been my kryptonite. In short, I'm not just addicted to sex but also to female attention as well as companionship.

I give you right with loneliness and would say, that boredom ist also a reason. Most things go away if you get a good social life. To the point with female attention, I,m haveing it too. You are not alone. But I know already the solution and wrote a list, what I will do to destroy it. I think women can also manipulate easy men with their charme and thats dangerous.

I totally agree. With further reflection I would also add lack of meaning and fulfilment as another root cause. In Viktor Frankl's book man search for meaning he talks about how when ones life lacks meaning we can get very curious without taking in consideration the consequences, and as we all know "curiosity can kill the cat" so to speak.

Certain women always prey on the weak, stupid, vulnerable ones ie me!!!!!!!!!!!! Joking aside unfortunately there are certain women who seem to know men better than we seem to know ourselves and prey on it. There are definitely certain women that men like that women don't, possibly due to the fact that those women can see them for what they are far better than we can. Those type of captivating sirens have been around since biblical times.
If you do have a list of solutions I would love to hear what they are but no problem if you would rather not disclose. I personally believe the answer is to try and get a fulfilling life outside them if possible. How to do so? Unfortunately at the moment I do not know
