30day report, anxiety, phimosis, insomnia

    I might drag on so I've highlighted the questions in bald .

    Background
    24 years old first time doing something like this. Got introduced to nofap because I was looking for ways to improve myself mentally after breaking my finger and can't gym for a couple of months .Realised this is perfect for me because I'm a complete vagina when it comes to making conversation with girls. I also started cold showers and quit smoking cigarettes at the same time. Creating this thread to mainly ask about sleep disturbance and anxiety.

    Nofap
    I am 30days into nofap which is quite surprising as I've been beating my meat everyday since I was 13. I mean I would go to extreme measures just to get some relief (jerk of in a bush on a camping trip) so the fact that I made it to 30 days on the first attempt is a major achievement. The 30day flatline I guess has something to do with it.
    The first three weeks were amazing, got a confidence and enegery boost that I've never had before and also no brain fog so felt f**king fantastic.

    Sleep
    Fourth week has been terrible, I feel absolutely shit because I only get 6 hours of bad quality sleep. The entire last week Ive been waking up with brain fog and with no energy or motivation to do anything but lay in bed, takes me hours to fall back to sleep and by the time I wake its 3 in the afternoon. This has made me think about relapsing as I have exams coming up and need to look for a job for the summer or I will go crazy staying at home.

    So my question is , will the relapse cure my sleep and brain fog, I literally have no time to mess about since Im studying engineering and have exams in 2 weeks. I miss the energy and focus I had in the first three weeks.... I want it back ;(.

    Anxiety

    I have noticed after the third week the urges became insane I would want to fuck anything that was moving. I would day dream about any hot girl I saw, I think this in turn increased my anxiety a lot around girls , I would get a churning feeling in my stomach like I'm about to throw up which I never had when I used to fap
    My question is, has anyone developed anxiety after starting nofap like me and did it go away over time ??

    Phimosis
    I found out I had phimosis when I was 19, after watching uncircumcised porn stars all my life and never knowing that circumcised guys can actually pull back their foreskin. That was that I never did anything about it since I was to embarrassed and awkward to actually visit a urologist to talk about it, I feel like this in turn held me back from Persuaing sex.
    Two weeks into nofap, after my dong had recovered from the daily beating it had gotten for 11years , i started randomly pulling back my foreskin and realised it wasn't as painful as when I had tried before months ago, a little bit of patience and courage and pulled back the foreskin all the way, it was beautiful,greatest day of my life. No Smegma at all the skin is too tight to trap any bacteria so don't worry about that. No questions just wanted to share it for all those who suffer from phimosis.

    Kudos to you for making it 30 days. Don't give up. Don't give in. The anxiety will go if you try to engage yourself in other things you like

    not sure what you mean , if you see a tight ring in a certain part of your foreskin then do your best to stretch it until it's not tight.

    I think its called the withdrawal symptoms me too experienced it, anxiety, no motivation ,,and especially the insomnia (im at day 20 of nofap)

    Hard to sleep even when i hit the gym, waking up in the midle of the night, got 6 hour of bad sleep

    But i realise something diferent

    1. My eyes and my face seem's brighter,, normally when i was fap ers, whenever i sleep less, it would blury eyes and shalow face

    2. I have more energy,, despite of sleep less than 6 hour's (mine usually 4-5 hour's) it's didnt effect much on my daily activity,, i'm not yawning all day, or loose focus/concentration.

    Its your brain missed pmo so much, dont feed it, never feed any dopamine for ur brain, itss a normal thing's when we do nofap,,,its part of the journey my friend...journey to freedom

    If you want to get rid of the anxiety, your going to have to put yourself out there and overcome the fear of talking to girls, i am in the same situation. I get crippling anxiety when going out to a club or bar. In terms of relapsing and anxiety, i have found that after watching a marathon of porn and relapsing, anxiety increases 10 fold. Ride the flatline period(s) cause when they are over, life transforms into greatness!
     
  8. I have been experiencing insomnia too in past 2 3 days
    I sleep deep about 2 3 hours and dream about sex or orgasm and get up after that .I couldnt sleep after the dream as I feel like some energy is building up and im wide awakw

    Yeh I understand that it's part of the journey but now is not the right time for me to do all this because I have to study for exams and It's impossible to attend lectures and study in one day with getting knackered and losing focus.
    I have no problem in relapsing if it fixes this problem for now. Will relapsing help? Does your sleep get better?

    Yes. I did. It's a bitch. PMO is a coping mechanism. Without your coping mechanism you have to address those things you've been covering up. This is where the real work starts (and the real benefits begin!)
    I used PMO to cope with anxiety and depression. This made it doubly hard. Fortunately there is a lot of info out there on how to deal with these things appropriately. Apps for mediation are particularly helpful. You can find some cool "sleep stories" on youtube too to help you sleep.
    Right now i'm reading a book called "when panic attacks" which is amazing for dealing with the anxiety.

    Dificult situation,,but from my experienced relapse doesnt make the situation better,, the guilty feelin make me stress out, the chaser effect wasted my time,, and my brain is so hungry when i relapse after NoFap,, its just one relapse arent enough, i want more and more, as my brain thinking about old days P. And i think that doesnt help you for studying too

    I think u should conquer this withdrawal symptomp, take some time, push urself to defeat it,,
    Focus on your exam

    For example the anxiety (horny AF) , it can be reduced,, in my case i pray to my Lord, and guard my eyes for not see parts of woman who can make me hrny, talk to her like talk to other man,
