There was a study on the size of new penises? Sounds like a growing area of research.

  2. Make sure to read the article, or the hundred or so articles that came out about the article and the new research. It compares dozens of studies over a few decades. The results are peer reviewed and most of the studies are pretty respectable in how they were carried out.
It is true that men with bigger ones are more likely to be willing to participate and smaller guys might be more embarrassed, but surely that wasn’t much different thirty years ago. Guys with little dicks were made fun of in the seventies and the eighties, too. I know I sure got teased about it at summer camp and in the locker rooms.

  3. I would be very willing to participate in penis size research. Particularly one where the erect penis is measured by a second party. This yields the most accurate and consistent results and I think it would give me comfort to see the facts laid out in black and white.

I know they said they did the study around the world. I wonder if this has to do with the shift towards a more globally diverse genetic pool. Even in the last 30 years people all around the world have gotten more genetically mixed.

A study I read a few years ago claimed that red hair was going to eventually become exceptionally rare because it's a recessive gene.

  5. Your penis is the same size it was before and after you read the report. Your perception that you may be significantly shorter than average is what has changed.

  6. Well said, my friend :)

The ruler does not lie! :p

But this helps to validate my experience with female rejection, comments made about my size and my Perception that I have always felt smaller and did not measure up to what I saw other guys had in the locker room.

  7. Agree, however, it doesn't doubly validate what you already knew...you already knew it.
So yeah, you're still the same size and you are correct it is below average but, as we have discussed before so. many times...it is (1) how you use it and (2) how creative you get and (3) how she reacts.
But the FACT is: YOU are still the same MAN as you were before.

I read the report, and the difficult part is that something in the data seems skewed. I wonder if older reports were weighted disproportionally towards ethnicities that tend to have teenier weenies. If not, then whatever is happening to guys over the past 30+/- years needs to be bottled and sold everywhere!! I vote for that :)

I got teased about mine and have always been obsessed/anxious about it! Mine is 19cm and when wearing a penis ring need large condoms. But still feel insecure when it turtles. I even tried posting a pic on social media lol to end the rumour but I got warned and it never made it out :(

If the study is a composite, I doubt they were all measured the same way. The study, in terms of size, is worse than worthless; it gives the impression that we know something, when in fact we do not.

@Bradziggler1990 is correct about one thing, and @+TenPercent has heard me say it before; shaft size hadn't been an issue in world literature until roughly the turn into the 20th century where, coincidentally, the modern camera caught on. Up to that point they had a lot to say about big, beautiful balls, thinking they had something to do with fertility. Idealized males had average shaft size, and anything bigger was considered somewhere between ridiculous and disgusting. Women these days talk positively about size, but most have never had actual experience with a variety of size so they are just going off what their girlfriends say. Get experienced women talking in a non-erotic context, they say the exact same thing your wife/girlfriend said when you thought she was just trying to make you feel better; size doesn't matter. It's about connection. @+TenPercent , I've seen your story and I deeply sympathize, but she knew about your insecurity and weaponized it.

Guys tease one another about it because we're in a constant state of competition and posturing, especially young, insecure guys. And us, dude. This is a porn addiction recovery forum. We have seen way too much or the wrong stuff, we have had bad ideas reinforced so hard, we don't know which way is up. The truth is, the actresses in porn are acting. They don't like that thing. The actors in porn are also acting, by the way. You think you have death grip? They inject a stimulant directly into their shaft to keep it hard. Porn is all about you, the consumer, nobody else is having a good time. What we think women like, the way we think sex should be, is a complete lie.

My recommendation is, ditch the ruler. Find your own partner, forge a connection, take care of one another, and kick everyone else out of your bedroom.

Yea it can become like body dysmorphia! Unless it’s 9x6” I’m not good enough lol. Don’t think many women could take that

  12. I often wish that we just got measured at the doctors office … and that was that. I know how tall I am compared to average, how my body weight compares. If penis length was measured on everyone then we wouldn’t have to deal with all this uncertainty!

I think of it like boobs. Some girls have big ones, some don’t. Most know if they’re an A cup or a B, C, D or DD or beyond. And their boobs are often on display, so everyone else knows too. How nice! :)
Some guys like big boobs, some like average, some like small. I generally like the really little ones, that’s just me. If our packages were out like that, we’d quickly know where we stood in the rankings, there’d be less size anxiety, and our potential partners would know exactly what they’re getting into. :)

1, a good deal of women are wearing the wrong bra size and 2, we, uh, we tried that. Putting out packages on display? It's called a "codpiece." Hit its peak in the 1540's, some fashion designers try to bring it back every once in a while. I think it looks silly and vulgar, but more to the point, if we did it now in this cultural context, everyone would just pad the hell out of it and we;d be nowhere closer to anything.

It doesn't matter. Stop obsessing over it. Seriously, it's only a problem if you're working with 2 inches or less, you're fine. Not everybody is! Some guys are working with that, and it is a problem, and some of them find solutions and live normal, happy, healthy, intimate lives with their partners anyway. That isn't you, though. You are okay. This doesn't need to be the most interesting thing about you.
