Hey guys! Although im new to these forums, my NoFap adventure has been going on for about 3 months! Im 16 years old and i need some good suggestions for this one! I have observed this in myself that 95% of my relapses have been wen im alone at home or awake very late at night ( like 2-3 A.M ! ).. So i need some good advice on HOW DO I CONTROL OR CURBE THE URGE WEN IM ALONE?? Its like wen i try to curb it, the urge stays there like a background process and then it gets so strong that im not able to stop it and end up relapsing!! Pls help me if u can!
First off - congratulations on 3 months of freedom. You should be proud of what you have been able to accomplish up to this point. I suggest making a gratitude list. Try to list out 5-10 things you are truly grateful for. Maybe keep a journal by your bed and write down a couple things when you wake up early. Once you have this list, ask yourself does PMO risk losing this thing? Also get rid of all devices that could provide a PMO binge. Keep them in a public place or with someone else who you trust that knows the deal. Just some thoughts. Good luck brother.
Try staying busy. When your mind is occupied, you won't have time to think about PMO. Learn something new. Read. Play games. Anything to keep your mind active. Also, try get to sleep earlier. When we're tired, we are more likely to relapse. Remember the HALT acronym. Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired. These are the four big contributors. Try and avoid them.
I'd recommend mild physical activity to stimulate the blood flow and direct it away from your genitelia e.g. 10 pushups break (20 sec) 30 sit-ups break (20 sec) 20 squats break (20 sec) 30 sit-ups break (20 sec) 10 pushups + cold shower I find that this works extremely well. Gl my man
None of this really works better than exercising self control. Just tell yourself, never again, not i want to make it 2 weeks before i relapse. Thats a set up for failure. Just remember that its all you man, good luck again
Hi! I'm 16 as well, congrats on your 3 months here! I suggest wearing rubber bands and snapping them whenever you get a urge. It'll bring you back to reality quick. Plus, exercise is huge. You won't PMO if your too tired to do so. Au revoir, Ace
Nice I'll try that routine, sound logical. I like to go for a walk when having urges but it's not always possible.
