    Day 121/365 Days

Just checking in. I looked at my original post in this thread and I was right, my divorce is taking longer than 120 Days.

NoFap is definitely helping me get through this with less stress and less anger. I’m still not happy about the situation, but I have confidence that this will all turn out the way it’s supposed to, no matter what.

Yes, it is, but I'm sure you can look back and see that you're not where you once were. Just jump right back into it and be confident that the tide will turn. This stupid habit really hates a plucky man who is diligent and consistent!

It was the same ... When I reached around 160, it was almost very less ... But in past month it has increased a lot ...

Don't fret against your own nature. Each man is different, so accept yourself as you are and be glad. I never get wet dreams, although there have been many times when I wished my brain would figure it out, if just for a "hydraulic relief."

Think more long term - if you just stay the course, the biology will take care of itself, and you'll establish a healthy equilibrium. How you are right now will not be how you will become in the future.

  14. Day 34- I just had my first encounter with a potential client regarding a website she wants for a furniture store and I was tongue-tied. Talk about disaster. I could not articulate myself very well and wasn't well organized. I may have lost this potential client but I have learned a lesson in knowing how to query clients and pricing. Anyway as they say Rome was not built in a day. I will get the hang of it. Thinking that I will not make mistakes is lying to myself.

Benefit 30: I will no longer promote the exploitative porn industry if I walk away from PMO. A lot of women are exploited in the porn industry, subjected to inhuman treatment so that I can be entertained. Seriously? How low do I want to go? I don't want to be part of human degradation anymore. I want to be part of the solution.

Thanks, yes. I know it's possible. I feel quite pathetic, but I need to swallow my pride and keep going.

Thanks, sometimes I am asking myself why I don't just give up. I can't - I really can't accept living with that addiction for a number of reasons. At the moment I think I need to try to learn from every relapse and not give up. I guess you guys are not gonna get rid of me too soon...

  17. I think this provides you with a grand opportunity to seriously evaluate what went wrong and develop a better strategy. You can analyze your emotional state before the relapse, what activities you were doing just before you went into the trance state of PMO, the time it occurred etc. May be you can start keeping a daily spread sheet record in MS Excel or any other spread sheet software in addition to your counter to help you analyze some of these things and recognize trends. I kept a spread sheet record for three months from April to June and recognized trends that I had never thought of and developed better action plans to deal with the potential dangerous situations. I recognized that my most vulnerable times were between 9pm to 11 pm. So I tried to sleep early. I recognized that most of the PMO was taking place when I was atop my bed with my laptop browsing aimlessly. So I decided to use my bed only for sleeping and nothing else. In addition, I tried to plan which websites I was going to visit in advance and stick to that list though this did not work effectively. I also came to realize the time PMO was taking per session. It was an average of 2 hours per day! That is too much time to waste everyday for me. I also discovered that procrastination and boredom were usually linked with a lot of my PMO. Emotions such as self pity, anger, resentment, anxiety etc usually preceded most of my PMO sessions.

You can keep track of things such as location of PMO event, time spent on each PMO session, emotions before PMO, activities done before the PMO, e.t.c. You can get as creative as possible cause you know yourself. You may get to learn about bad habits that support PMO and develop better action plans to deal with the inevitable urges.

This is also a journey of self discovery I believe more than just a journey of recovery. So even if we relapse, if we look hard enough we can learn something about ourselves and improve subsequently.
