Just passed 100 days, but cautious

Discussion in 'Success Stories' started by Deleted Account, Dec 10, 2018.

  1. I just past 100 days PMO free. 8 months of falling and getting up before getting to day zero of this streak.

I’m still cautious. I don’t want to get prideful and complacent and end up stumbling again. I plan on continuing to come here and go to SAA meetings.

It anyone is interested, I went to a therapist to start out my journey away from the PMO lifestyle. Hopefully you won’t have to go to a therapist but for me it was very helpful since he gave me the motivation and “tools” to get to where I am now.

I have new hobbies. I’m back to doing other hobbies that had tapered off. And I now have a joyful outlook about life, I was always pessimistic during my PMO days.

    Best wishes to you all.

  2. Good to hear, and therapy does sound like a good idea.
    Well done.

  6. Nothing earth shattering. I feel better about myself. I’ve more time to do constructive things. I’m saving money, not using it for porn/sex related things.

All that “super powers” stuff is a bunch of B.S. I’m no better than anyone else. I just don’t have PMO in my life and can now focus on better things.

Just like me. Difference is that I am not actually seeing benefits I desired. Somehow I am the same person after these days (I am on a monk mode tho). Pretty frustrated ((

  10. I'm frustrated about a couple of things myself. One is, "What am I going to do with my life that is worthwhile now that I don't have porn in my life". I'm enjoying myself: gym, lots of traveling, photography, climbing - but I feel like I should be doing more for people.

Another I posted in the Off Topic section.

Hang in there and don't get discouraged. It's great that you made it this far! Congratulations!

    Thanks.
All of those things that I used to ran from (Using Porn), I mean, feel sad about something? Go watch porn, get that dopamine. Bad day? Go get Porn. It's simple, addicted brain sees fix in Porn. After you abstain from it, everything starts to pop up on surface, now you (me) have to face it without "that temporary fix". 102 days is not enough if you were deep into addiction, it's true that Porn destroys life and it's not a 90 day challenge, rather lifelong.
Maybe there are no benefits for me, or less, but I don't care. Still, porn is a heroin in our home, in our hands. Just do not do it, no matter of what, just don't!
    Peace.

  12. So true. Having different things pop up in my face that I was running from gets uncomfortable. But no more running away for me.

Take care and peace to you as well!

oh man....i can relate to that so much! I'm no where near 100+ days but I've got to 60 days before and it didnt help me that much. I was socially awkward af and anxious and deppressed too! It reminds me that number is just number....what matter are the positive habits we do every day!

Don't think about benefits, stay strong. One day, maybe on 100th day, maybe on 450th, your hard work, discipline and willpower will pay off. Nofap is a life changer and Porn is a seriously addictive "substance".

Well done to you, make a youtube channel and talk about nofap... I watch nofap videos on youtube daily and it helps me somehow to stay on track.

That's very true. There will be some benefits definitely but unfortunately, all shit will come out on the surface and we have to deal with it. First time in our lives. Unprepared and inexperienced. And some of that shit will take years of pain to change.

  17. Congratulations, what a great accomplishment! Your example is inspiring us beginners :), keep up the great work!
You’re right - continue cautiously and never let down your guard by being complacent. I thought I had won the battle once before and stopped constantly working at it and ended up falling back into my old PMO ways. Here’s to another 100!

    100days!
    Superb!
Please don't say that! It feels like I should go back to my habit.
It does demotivates others. Delete/edit it now.

Are on hard mode or medium mode? Medium mode do not gave all the benifits.
I have done two hard modes before, 30 days and 100 days and I had few super power:- thick hair and beard, almost no hairfall, fast muscle growth, no cramps, no feeling of tiredness after heavy work/workout, more active and attractive in college.

  19. I’m not deleting that. There’s plenty of others that agree with me, superpowers are a bunch of bs. I stop PMO so I won’t be a person that is a slave to his passions. And I’ll be able to go out and enjoy life without dragging a boat anchor around.

I’m doing more time at the gym and doing better and better with the indoor climbing. Also going out on trips on my days off at least a couple times a month. Any average joe could do these things if they devote the time to it. I’m no better than anyone else.

I’m enjoying life a lot more. Not letting dips in life wipe me out. Women still aren’t attracted to me but that doesn’t matter. I’m enjoying life without them.
