The purpose of this thread is to provide Rebooters with a place to share their commitment to abstaining from particular sexual behaviors throughout the entire month. Although it is strongly recommended to make a public commitment, posting in this thread is not required for participation in a reboot. New to reboot? Here are some suggestions: Learn about porn addiction, excessive masturbation, and abstaining from PMO (a process called "reboot" or "rebooting"). Our free Getting Started guide that is advertised everywhere is a great option. Decide if abstaining from PMO is something that you really want. If you don't buy into the process 100%, you'll probably not make it through the month. If you have decided that you would like to participate, proceed to step three. Sign up for this month by replying to this thread. Consider setting up a PMO-tracking day counter to monitor your progress. Create a Journal Thread and share your progress periodically, preferably on a daily basis. Not only does this help you stay accountable, it documents valuable anecdotal evidence that will ultimately help other people going through similar situations in the future. By default it is one month, but 90 days is recommended for rebooting. You can't know how long it will take to "rewire" your brain, it widely varies due to individual circumstances. Rebooting in hard mode for 90 days. Want to rewire my brain and undo the damage done by porn and fantasy.
After successfully finishing my first monthly challenge in PMO hard mode in May I am ready to take on another month in PMO hard mode. Overall on day #34 right now of my personal 90-days reboot challenge. Will close this month's challenge on day #63 so I'll have reached 2/3 of my personal challenge. Traveling for two weeks out of four and pride month will be challenges that I need to prepare for.
I started my 90 day hard mode reboot a couple days ago, so committing to abstaining from PMO for the month of June is part of that. Doing this to improve my life and my productivity/career, and for my relationship with my girlfriend.
In for June challenge. Doing 90 days hard mode, already on day 87. Also took part in the May challenge. Goals: To rewire my brain. Why: Because I have been struggling with PMO for 20+ years.
I have slipped up after two previous streaks of 56 and 83 days.. so my reboot is not over. Committed to abstaining from PMO during the month of June - this will be hard mode as I am single and abstaining from sex for almost one and half year. I'm going for Hard Mode. Always "believed", Go Hard or Go Home. I'm aiming for 90 days. This seems like a mountain right now because I don't think I've ever gone without masturbation/porn for more than a week or two. My goal is to start a proper/healthy dating life. I am 19 and I have been single all my life (not even a kiss!) so I would really like to experience my true sexuality. I'm also doing this because I feel like masturbation makes me lose interest in people altogether. In the past 2 years I have started avoiding social situations and BARELY talk to people (even then it is a struggle). I want to combine this challenge with going to the gym regularly for 3 months straight. I want to become the best version of myself. There's a lot more I could write but I'd like to keep this somewhat short. I will leave you all with a quote I recently came across that sparked something within me, “Don’t sacrifice what you really want for what you want right now.” P.S. I am on Day 7 now of no PMO. It's tough but I can do this.
