sorry to hear that bro. it was a long sequence so your brain rewired a lot. now try to see how you fell and work on that to prevent it. Let´s go!!!
53 days my brothers here´s the latest newsletter from JK Emezi. Have a nice day. "Brother, To be honest with you, when I quit porn- I didn't fully understand the "steps" I was taking. It was only my detailed journals and note taking that allowed me to retrace the steps of my recovery. Many years later, I noticed that my clients who rewired their brains and moved on from their behavior with porn and masturbation did a handful of powerful things. My success rate with helping men quit porn was nowhere near where it is today. But noticing these traits, or rather, principles among my successful and happy clients allowed me to better prepare men for the challenges of rebooting. These things were the very same things I did...but now, there was a basic foundation for the MINDSET needed to see it through. Without further rambling, here they are: 1) Learn: Learn as much as you possibly can about your sexual problem. Learn HOWEVER you can- from a book, an expert, a video, a course, a college...fill your head with knowledge about your specific problem. 2) Tools: Gather every tool that would be helpful, study how to use them, then practice. 3) Believe: Develop faith, hope and self confidence that the tools you have learned will help you in overcoming your challenge and ending your behavior with porn and masturbation. Your relapses might cause skepticism sometimes- but it won't last. Keep watering that seed of self confidence by counting every little win. 4) Do: Think of the word DONE. The first part of done is do You have to first DO in order to be DONE with your addiction to pornography. Doing can't be random. You must focus on the tools (#2) and behaviors you have learned(#1) and come to believe in (#3). It truly is that simple. Please brother, from my heart- I insist that you read the above four principles again. Perhaps even print them out. I know its just an email from another "advice giving guy" on the internet. But its one of those short ones that makes a world of difference if you apply it. Anytime you get lost on this journey to freedom, ask yourself: "Which of the four principles am I missing?" I guarantee, the answer will put you back on track. Your brother in this struggle, J.K Emezi"
Day 3 I am not as confident as I was a week ago. And, I have lost my talking ability I couldnt speak fluid yesterday. It was weird
Relapse. I don't really want to do no pmo so I need some motivation I guess. Its hard to let off on dopamine etc.
To everyone who's relapsed in the past few days, keep going. Diagnose what caused you to relapse, patch the hole, and hit the ground running again. As Jocko Willink would say, "reload, re-calibrate, re-engage". Even if you don't believe you can do it, I do. If you don't want to do it, you aren't going to do it! That's why we relapse in the first place: because at least in the moment we want PMO. But you don't have to stop wanting PMO - that's not something you can force - you have to want to not PMO more than you want to PMO. That's the key. Write down your reasons for starting this journey, that's a good starting point. If you don't have any, there's your problem. Check in Day 14, two weeks down. Feeling tired as hell today but going to keep on pushing. Time waits for no man. That said, being tired is a relapse risk so I'm going to bed nice and early tonight to rectify that.
162... Now im disgusted from porn Too tired to M Orgasmophobic Strange but... That what keeps my streak flowing smoothly....
in the beginning is hard bro. but hold on, it becomes easier in time, and better . just hold on and follow your strategy.
motivation comes from you brother. from having a vision, from believing you can be free from porn addiction and follow that vision no matter what. you got to work on this brother, be commited, 100%. define a strategy. simply abstaining from pmo is not enough. here´s a little push
You can do it! Just remember, if you were PMOing every day- even if you relapse once every few days that is still good progress compared with where you used to be! If you don't give up then the times between relapses will get longer and longer.
