Practice makes perfect. Take baby steps. Being here and posting is you doing great already! (PMO makes you anxious, read all about it)
I'm learning more and more that the first steps you have to take is finding out how far the addiction reaches, how many lies you tell yourself and why you do that. That takes a lot of relapses to really learn. But these are not failures, they are necessary steps. Our job is to learn the important lessons from them and adjust our strategies. You've got this!
Day 11 Counting hours seems nice too, it's look like a big ammount. But I want to see this challenge, in these first days, like an uni exam. When exam starts your grade is off course 0. So like exams every point -day or hour of no pmo- is very important. You start from 0 and try to gather as more "points" as you can. So I am trying to not think of the remainder time. I simple try to receive strength and confidence of the "gathered points" to continue. Good luck guys!!!
4/90. The week continues to be stressful. Just have to make it through tomorrow work wise. Keep up the good fight!
Day 38 No M Day 143 No P Hey guys! I have to come clean and share that I have been having urges quite often again for the past week. Sometimes I do some edging to toughts of having sex with my gf, which we are not having a lot of right now, because of our schedules (which would probably explain the urges). I am not resetting the counter, because I have not O'd by myself and its mostly anticipating real sex. But yes, I know I should not do that. It is a struggle sometimes, but I learn from mistakes and try to control it. Anyway, just want to share that since I started NoFap January 2nd this year, more than 4 months later I cannot believe it but I am enjoying real sex so much. It reminds me of my eagerness to have sex when I was a teen. And I would not call it a problem, but the first time I have sex with my gf after a few days not seeing eachother I can O quite quick All in all I feel pretty healthy sexually and overall already! Keep going guys! The point here is consistency, not perfection! Like in everything. Even if you let something slip 1 time, it's not going to ruin your progress. Just stay away from porn for good and try to control your urges to the best of your ability, but don't forget we are human and make mistakes! Todays video is Have a nice day!
Remember the feeling of devastation when you are faced with temptation. Use that feeling to remind you of where you were that you never want to be again.
Haha thank you! It's actually not my real name, just a fun nickname someone gave me once that I really liked. So, I guess YOU are the cool one here because that's ACTUALLY your name!! Way to be awesome!!
I 100% agree with this! Relapses are an unavoidable part of the learning process. They will almost certainly happen on your journey towards getting free. Although possible, it's very unlikely that anyone simply quit porn cold turkey and never relapse. @chiyu you haven't let us or yourself down. The critical thing is actually how you RESPOND to your relapse. If you choose to examine what happened, learn something about yourself, and then get up and keep going, then you have succeeded in taking another critical step in your healing and freedom journey.
