So the max i went was 60 days, i felt at an all time-high at this point. That is... until i cracked and relapsed.

That was about 4 months ago. Since then i managed to hit another 30 streak in March.

    Then relapsed in April.

since then, it’s been so hard to keep the drive to reach 90 days. Now i can’t even get past 7 days without relapsing.

Just yesterday and today combined, i relapsed 6 times. What the fuck is wrong with me?

it’s like i’m falling right back to square one despite my previous streaks! This really never gets easy does it...

i feel like i’m gonna live my whole life feeling like im hanging off of a loose thread. Every night i sleep i have to fight my mind to not think about porn or erotic imagery.

no matter how far of a streak i go, it comes back to haunt me. How can i be sure that even if i go 1 year without this, that it’ll come back and haunt me again?

porn has fucked me up man. I fucking hate it sooooo much!!!

    Dude!!

You should know the root cause of you relapsing.. sit with yourself and try to analyze all the triggers that lead you to relapse. Then you can just avoid them.

Here are the proven ones for me:

    - Social Media
    - Chatting with girls
    - Movies
    - Youtube videos
    - Having free times during the day

Here are the proven solutions for me:

    - Avoid all the triggers (uninstall all the apps from my phone and leave just the browser to read nofap threads)
    - Try to build a routine, always start small
    - Meditate 15 min per Day
    - Reading books
    - Playing an instrument
    - Learn a language
    - Learn how to dance
    - Workout (Push ups, squats...)
    - Listen to podcasts
    - Avoid going out too much
    - Avoid looking at girls if you go out
    - Wear some bracelet to remind you of why you're doing this
    - Delete all pictures from your phone that may lead you to relapse
    - remind yourself of your small wins

I'm on day 17 .. I could relapsed in so many occasions but the things above helped me a lot to resist.

I hope this can help. God bless ya.

I'm not in a position to give any advice, but I 100% sympathize with what you said. I've also reached 90 days about three years ago, and since then I haven't had a streak as long as I've had back then. Just know that you're not alone in this.

Appreciate the comments and advice guys...

i actually ended up getting high and relapsing like a motherfucker this weekend. I feel like i just had to let it all out...

Now i feel desensitized, but i am ready to start another streak.

Tomorrow is Day 1 and i make it just my goal to make these last 6 days of the month, last.

after that, i am aiming for 90+ days!

This is great advice. Relapses can be opportunities to learn which things make us fail. Then we can make a plan to avoid them.

"One's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions" (Oliver Wendell Holmes)
You probably already heard that saying, and that's why relapsing, after tasting the victory of having mastered your instincts, will taste like bitter defeat. Don't panic on relapses, your body will punish you enough, you don't need to put your mind there. You need to put your mind on getting up, dusting off and pushing on. You know where you want to get. Good luck, we're with you.

  10. Seems like nobody knows the truth in here, so let me tell it to you.
    1. Nofap is close to impossible(meaning that will power will never work).
    2. Only if you keep your knowledge in the same level when you relapse.
    3. You may only succeed if you study the aspects of Nofap or SR.

Personally I have read books about Nofap from ancient monks to modern day, that has helped me to brainwash myself and to not use my will power so much, which would lead to failure.

  11. Sounds like you are struggling to identify your triggers. Whats the longest streak you had in the last 2 months?

One thing to bear in mind when you relapse after a long streak is the chaser effect - have you read up on this? It causes massive binge sessions which is why it sounds like your lapsing several times in a day. Its really difficult to get rid of chaser sessions - no matter how hard you try. Best to ride it out, then when you feel stronger, try and get a streak going again.

Have you at the events / challenges page as a way to slowly wind yourself back in?

Well, no one said you can / would achieve a 90+ day streak in one go...
What we are doing is harder, it's training ourselves to abstain, and little by little the brain changes.

The most important thing is not giving up, because even if you fail repeatedly for a few years, all this time the brain is getting stronger and used to the stress, to the fight...

It's like a long term investment: at first the value of your investment is going to fluctuate a lot, but in time it will grow.

    Hope this helps.

  13. It's always the early days that get to me the most. Once the ball gets rolling things get a lot easier. My max was only 38 days though. You went 60 bro, once you get past the initial few weeks again you'll feel a lot better. Just remember each day is a day of healing!

All this is Demon related, these focking things don’t stop tormenting you until they get there fix, have you ever noticed how tired you are after orgasming....that is there food supplement to survive hence the reason for the strong urges, same like smoking any any other harmful addiction it wants to completely destroy you, I’ve been on a 58 day streak before and I was on top of the world but then relapsed so ive been trying for the last 2 years to rid myself from these entities, if you ever get high and orgasm take cognizance of the feeling it’s not you it’s these things that use you as a vessel no bullshitting, well I’m on a 37 days streak and it’s unbearable they don’t stop

This is just the chaser effect man. Put your laptop away and meet with some friends, ge outside, excercise. If you need to use your laptop for school/work go to a public place to work there such as a library (I know this might be difficult due to corona atm). Put your cellphone in another room if you go to bed and use a regular alarm clock

    Wishing you the best!
