Yes, but it's also true the you may get cancer if you do ejaculate. There are some studies that say frequent ejaculation reduces risk for cancer, not eliminate it.

That and the studies didn't account for several aspects of the modern day experience that some(not all) men face. that is some men MO'ing several times a day. It didn't account for edging where men M for hours, which potentially could stress and harm the prostate as well. We don't know because no one's given funding to do such studies. It'd also be pretty brave seeing as the porn industry would certainly make a counter study in response, and otherwise try to discredit the study and any scientist who were involved.

How to reduce the risk if you are going on NoFap? Eat a healthy balanced diet, stay hydrated, exercise, get good sleep. And it's not a life sentence of no O's. You just give some time to get clean, hopefully stay clean, and enter into a healthy relationship.

GoldJacketLuke made a video about this on YouTube; it's very informative and worth watching if this is something that worries you.

I agree, however I am still not completely convinced wether MO in itself is bad or not. Connected to P yes, but looking at what doctors etc tell is MO is almost a must to take care of the prostate. I guess it's been a lot written in other threads about this but this makes me curious how it really is. I mean ofc the best is to have a great functioning sexlife with a partner, but if not. I think the MO draws us to P because this is what we are used to and also at least for men MO often give us a feeling of shame or that something is wrong doing this on our own. For women it does not seem to be the same thing, but I might be wrong. Anyways, I would trust the collected scientific society over some guy that saves sperm for 25 years, I am big when it comes to proof end clinical testing etc. I do stay away from MO at the moment ofc but I would not for years and year seeing as it may be bad for my prostate.

However there seem to be very different results within this subect.

  12. The problem with some of these scientific studies is that they dont habe sufficient sample sizes or follow up for long periods.

There are plenty of men who practice life long celibacy and they dont all get prostrate cancer.

These so called scientific studies are part of the reason why men are still hooked on P thinking that its good to have regular emissions. They use this scientific justification to continue their habit of self-sabotage.

    Just stop all PMO.

Well, maybe they do but it's not the fault of the scientific community that people PMO. They are only trying to find out what is better, to empty now and then or not.
It's a very important question and to be biased I would say is just stupid. Try to see both sides. Ejaculation does not have to be connected to PMO for everyone.

If that were true to any significant degree, monks would die of testicular cancer at a greater rate than the regular population. I do not think anyone needs to worry about it.

I can say from my own experience that not ejaculating after a streak of 42 days pmo free has caused me a case of prostatitis. I have all the common symptoms and it is uncomfortable. I am 55 and my wife is 57 so we sometimes go long periods (6 to 8 weeks) without having sex. I have been using porn for 35 years and would love to stop and have tried, but this recent bout of prostatitis has caused me to relapse just to see if I can get over this without going to the doctor. I also started researching and read that if you ejaculate 21 times or more in a month your chance of prostate cancer is reduced. Not sure how true that is.

I can't but laugh to the persons who based their body biology to scientific studies other than themselves. Many guys here believe Nofap will make them more handsome or help them to be a better person or have more selfconfidence/autocontrol; Real thing is that unless you find a non exigent sexual partner who is satisfied with 5 min of sex (prompt to premature ejaculation due to all the 'nofap' abstinence) you'll better find a way to train your body to develop some tolerance to arousal. I believe you already noticed that you'll need to do some kind of MO to develop this resistance at this point.

I don't encourage anyone here to MO. non in an autodestructive way, that is, addiction.
I will only advise these young men who became psychos with all 'scientific evidence' that surely is on which everything is based here in this forum, be aware that you would require help to overcome Premature ejaculation, weak penis muscles (poor erections, even dysfunction), You would also have a very very weird libido if you don't have a sexually active partner with you. + There's a point where many men will dissociate ejaculation feelings as something entirely natural and will fall into a mental illness : They'll think that they have made a huge mistake, something that is prohibited, thus, they're guilt from doing it and will carry this mark where they go, feeling that they are misfits or socially marginated, creating some kind of stigma that develop in phobia or obsessions.

When you stop seeking the need to intercourse/ intimate / be loved with/from a partner due to MO, this is when problems will arise. When you let MO to control your daily life, or influence your interpersonal relationship with friends / family members, then you need psychological help more than what it is stated in this forum.

This will be my only intervention I will never re-post a repply here in this forum. I only created this account to share with you my experience : I used to MO and PMO since I am 14 or 13 I think (though my first MO was at age 9 If I'm not wrong) What I've learned from all this time is that as many many things in life, it can be used to damaged yourself or to help you. I am not a religious person / or a biologist fanatic obsessed with the 'Huge amount of energy/nutrients depletion' if ejaculation occurs. For me, It will help you better knowing your sexuality at the early years of your life; after you start MO in your life, sexual maturity will come some times, more often than what you think, in a premature manner. At this point two things will happens depending on your personality and your family relation when you are young :

You use MO for sexual exploration and keep going in life

You use MO to overcome feelings of guilt / sadness / and to get away/forget problems and develop pathological behaviors

This first experience will shape the use of this habit in your life. how often do you do it, in which circumstances you do it, how do you do it, this is something personal and individually.
How a person interpret this behavior and learn to understand that as humans, we have sexual biological needs (yes, to reproduce., but also to pure pleasure, something that differentiate our animal specie from the rest), will led to a self-consensus on how to use MO on his life and in some cases with who.

Here's the key, when you realize that you can use MO to abuse of it. Or just rely on a sexy time on your own or with someone else.
I recall that when I was 15, this is when I tend to MO the most. in a week I used to MO 1 to 2 times. for many years and I never stopped. But, I can share with you that, I was part of the group who used MO to avoid / get away from problems. Although didn't impact my life as much, I can say that this worsen my problems because it only make me hide and not faced them.

Nowadays I'm 26 and I have put into test a lot of what it is said on internet about MO, and learned a couple of things (may not be the case for everybody)

    - The more I wait between ejaculations, the more watery was my cum.

    - Wait many days without ejaculate didn't make me gain/loss weight.

    - The more I wait to ejaculate the less capable I was to hold my cum

    - Not ejaculate for long times didn't increase my cum volume as much

+ Not ejaculate too often stabilized my testosterone (I was able to notice it in my facial hair growth)

+ The less I ejaculated prior to sex, the sooner I recover for a second round.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I just don't recall the rest now but I know I tested another things that to summ up were just like pure mystic believes or alike that had little or nothing impact on my life.

Take this experience from someone who practiced MO practically through his whole life. I'm 26 81kg have gf and work and keep MO oftentimes in a not addictive way. What I can say is that the real deal that could change your life from potential pathological behavior is psychological help and to have a good metabolism this is super important for your body and organs

Well guys take care of yourselves and just don't put your life on a solemnly 'scientific evidence' research to make a change in your life. First know yourself, and try to understand the why's of your problems.
