    Good evening, my name is Emanuel, I am from Argentina, Buenos Aires, I am 26 years old and I have been tied to pmo and masturbation for 12 years. Honestly I fall over and over again I need help, I want to be free of this once and for all, any advice can help me, thank you very much for reading this far.

    I'm the same age and started at the same age. Do you want your brain to prefer P over a woman? Do you want your penis to prefer your hand over female genitals? Want to loose your erections? The list goes on.

    1. Journal every day. Record what you are feeling, and the things that happen before you want to use P. Record what you are doing to try to avoid P, what is working, what isn't working, how you are adjusting your approach. That way you have something to look back on and see patterns, and you can avoid trying the same exact method over and over again.
    2. PMO gives you a lot of dopamine, so you need to replace that bad source with something good. I recommend intense exercise. There are many documented benefits, both for physical and mental health.
    3. Don't compromise at all, even a little. Many new guys want to know if they are "allowed" to look at women on IG, or YouTube, if fantasy counts as P, etm. The short answer is yes, it all counts as P, the long answer is that you have to figure it out for yourself, but you're going to discover even a little erotic stuff leads to PMO, but the best answer is, if you really want to stop your addiction, that's the wrong attitude entirely. You don't want to get as close to P as possible without it being wrong. You want to get as far from it as possible. Stop thinking about sex entirely. Focus on your job, and getting healthy.
    4. You control your thoughts by choosing something to think about ahead of time. Thoughts about wanting to use P will come, wild fantasies will come, and when they do they are going to take up too much of your brain for you to think up something else to concentrate on. Pick something early, before your brain is in a crisis, so you only have to remember what that thing was and think about that. The urges will back down.
    5. Get used to the fact that you are going to by physically uncomfortable for a while, a few weeks. Your balls are going to hurt, and you might get mood swings. be angry, get sad, deal with a lot of emotions. Don't let it scare you. It's normal. If you stay with it, those big feelings will calm down.
    6. Sleep with PJ pants, and get up as soon as you wake up. If you lay in bed and drowse, you're going to want to play with your morning wood while you aren't fully awake, and you'll give yourself a pass and say you weren't fully in control. If you choose to get up and start your day right away, you won't mess up in the morning.
    7. Keep trying. You're going to reset several times. Take each one as a learning experience, and try again. You'll figure it out.
    8. Understand that, if this addiction goes deep, it's an unhealthy coping mechanism. You have a deeper problem that you aren't addressing, because you're distracting yourself with PMO instead. If you stop PMO, you are still going to have to deal with that problem. Porn is a problem but it isn't the problem. You won't be able to find what it is and work on it, though, until you stop PMO.
