UPDATE: 350 days

I have made it to 200 days no P or M. Here’s to the next 200!

 

It has not been easy. At all.

I think the routine every morning of checking in and updating my journal have been a good start, and I feel it slightly on days when I don’t get a chance to do that. Realistically, the only way we get through this is one day at a time. If we keep focussing on the big numbers I think it becomes overwhelming. Also, NoFap alone does not solve all my problems. It gives me a place to vent and to allow myself some opportunity to be vocally proud of my actions when I know if I tried to in real life it would potentially hurt those I care about.

I feel calmer than before, and anxieties I have had in the past do not seem to affect me as much as they have done. I also feel closer to my wife, and my focus on our intimacy has shifted significantly to being more about us as a couple rather than physically.
Overall, no regrets apart from the ones that have led me here in the first place.

 

Update - I have hit the quarter of a century mark. 250 days not out.

 

Better with time - and also better with support.

They are useful but you need to find the right one for you - which may mean having a few meetings with different groups

 

Yesterday I hit the 300 days mark of no P or M. Just 65 days to go until a whole year - which I think is my longest streak ever.

 

I absolutely agree. This is a life journey.

You are on the right path. I have put a major embargo on my screen time in general, making sure I don’t have easy access to screens during times when I see to act out in the past. I am also incredibly lucky in that I have a loving and supportive wife who has stuck with me despite everything. I am very very fortunate.

 

I have hit the 350 days mark and am feeling incredibly humble. No way I could have done this on my own without the support of my incredible and patient wife and the forums here.
