I'm feeling down...

Just a heads up, this is going to be long, boring and depressing :)

I'm just sat here soon going to bed and I'm just reflecting on my life.

I relapsed twice today but this isn't about that right now.

I'm 16, and I just finished school, and the only thing I have done all year is sit on my laptop and watch YouTube videos and go on social media. I don't have many friends, and I live in a very boring town with barely any transport links.

I have an iron deficiency and vitamin D deficiency (or at least I did until recently) due to my lifestyle, and I suffer from very heavy brain fog. Every day I feel so spaced out, tired, and unable to enjoy anything because of how 'faded' I feel. I don't have the energy to do anything remotely creative or healthy.

I have lots of dreams and goals I want to achieve in life, but despite that I am (was) doing really well in school, i feel like my life isn't moving anywhere, and that it never will, and that I will do nothing for the rest of my life and all of those hopes and dreams will all be gone just because I never feel motivated.

I'm not really sure what I'm asking you to reply, I just felt like I wanted to post this somewhere to get it out there.

Any advice? I can't think of anything at all do do that is creative. there are no clubs in my town that I'm interested in, and very limited jobs so I don't have any money to do what I really enjoy (travelling by railways).

I don'y like sport, but I do like going for long walks, and I would do that every day, but my mate that I used out walk with doesn't want to know me anymore, as he is too concentrated on his girlfriend. I just need something to get me out there doing something. I want to feel inspired and determined again.

    Suggestions?

You are not alone bro ! You are really young and you have a whole life left to build ahead. I am 28 years old, i am struck in the middle having not pursued many dreams seriously and feeling too late to pursue some.Think about how terrible i should feel if i even think of reflecting back. All i know is that there is definitely going to be a tomorrow and i have the complete control to make it a little better than today. Don't sit and wait for things to happen. Take it one day at a time, one hour at a time and take every baby step possible towards your dreams. It takes lot of years of perseverance to achieve many big goals but it all starts with small steps each day. All your loneliness will wash away like the way hitting the boat once you start riding your boat with a destination in mind. Good luck.

  3. how about having a girlfriend? or reading a good book try to go out more and be more social make more friends even if they are not your age ,, the worse you can do is listen to your own mind don't let your mind bring you down talk to people interact more with people sometimes just starting a conversation with someone you barely know can help you ,, ME when I listen to other peoples problems makes me forget my own but yes try to be more social and make more friends...good luck bro don't let depression get you

You are very young. From where you are now you cannot know where you'll be in even 6 months - 1 year, let alone where you'll be at age 20. And from the sounds of things, the only way is up. I have no advice that wouldn't come off as a cliche (like 'believe in yourself') so I'll just wish you luck.

I went for a 6km walk this morning, then spend an hour cutting the grass in the afternoon, and I'm feeling much better for it now :)

It might sound boring... but if you take a small interest in DIY you can make your life better. It's not expensive and you can improve your surroundings by painting your rooms. It kept me busy when I was down.
Also you can still go for walks alone and if you have a dog that is a common way to chat with people and start friendships.
