Anxiety during reboot

    I had a lot of anxiety. It's greatly reduced now. But the basic idea i've found is this:
    I used PMO to deal with stressful situations in life. When I quit I had to find new, healty ways to deal with those situations. One of those situations was anxiety. I'd PMO to deal with it.
    What you need to do is work on other ways to deal with anxiety.
    Meditation. Prayer.
    There are some great meditation apps on the market.
    You can checkout my journal. I went through this like crazy.

    Is not that easy man, I've re-started today, I'had a relapse, but regularly I'd been like a month, or a 5 weeks streak.
    I do understand how difficult is. But, you have to understand, that in the beggining it will be QUITE HARD. So you may not rely on Will Power, NO, you HAVE to use self-control, and by that I mean, don't expect to be able to control yourself, but create the space, the stimuli (or absence of stimuli) that leads you towards NoFap.

    ¿What I do?, every time I feel the urge, I "punish" myself quickly in someway, stop thinking about it, and start doing excercise, play guitar or just go out, where there is no porn to tempt me. Go for a walk, try to cook something, read, make something that really gets you "high", that makes your PM desire vanish; call a friend to a bar, accept any invitation to somewhere you can't find porn.

    One thing I notice is many guys seem to have a hard time when they are alone. I'm an only child so bring alone is important to me I actually enjoy alone time.

    Here's how I handle a bad urge:

    Close my eyes and put my hands under my rear or behind my back, low back etc just nowhere in front of me. Then just simple deep breathes try to let your mind go blank or at least slow down. You might get hard but just keep still and breathe most pass in under a minute. It's as much about quieting your mind than your penis. Another idea to just find a way to express emotion. Bottling up emotions and hiding them through bad coping mechanisms isnt just bad for your penis it's bad for you as a whole.

    Porn and masturbation are coping mechanisms. Until you deal with the underlying issue nothing changes.

    @Sanic : Not all anxiety is bad, some are healthy, you can find them somewhere like Gaming? Sonic the name, speed my game :D
