Bipolar and porn use

Any folks with bipolar disorder want to share how it changed their relationship with porn?
I've always had issues with porn but after my bipolar diagnosis, its been extreme issues with porn.
I'm quite well medicated at this point but do have hypomania and depression at times, both of which amp up my porn use significantly. Still trying to figure out this puzzle.
Anyone else with Bipolar / porn addiction want to chime in it would be helpful.

I also have bipolar and I get it. I wish I knew what to tell you. I'm on lamotrigen and it helps with swings but I swear it amps up my libido a little. What meds do you take if I can ask? The hypomania is a nofap killer. I think zinc and vit d also amps up my libido. I'm sorry I can't help but I can relate, your not alone.

Thanks for your reply. Ya I’m on Lamotrigine as well. And zinc and d3. I also take L-theanine which is supposed to help with anxiety and copper in small doses which is supposed to compliments zinc well. Haven’t felt any changes in my sex drive from either the lamitrigine or the supplements but I’ve been on them so long I really can’t remember anyways. Either way it’s better than the train wreck I was on before. I went off my supplements for awhile and it messed with me mentally. Sex drive was not necessarily effected but I was off mentally which led to more acting out as I wasn’t as stable.

I’m on 150mg Lamotrigine. Can’t say I’ve seen it affect my libido, but yea definitely experienced heightened consumptions during phases. I think the problems were the depressive phases ramped up the need for that emotional satiation you’d ordinarily get through sex, and manic my need to just absolutely demolish someone. Of course, neither of these things actually happen through a screen.
