Don't blame yourself ever. It's not (entirely) your fault.

If you wish to quit porn the whole world becomes your enemy. It seems like a conspiracy, everything from toilet paper to breakfast cereals is trying to be sold through sex.

Turn on the TV, fire up the internet, watch a music video, go to the movies or just go buy groceries and count the amount of sexualized women looking at you from billboards, advertisements etc. You HAVE to think about sex even when you don't want to.

It's a brutally successful method. It affects the animal in men and the businessmen in the big marketing agencies know it. Your mind is forced, basically raped to think about sex.

Welcome to January 2014, let's see what we achieved at the height of our civilisation:

    - Men are basically just animals who can easily be possessed through their penises.
    - the only purpose of humanity is to consume
    - if you don't fit in, you are worthless
    - you should be fit and healthy, have abs and be slim
    - you should also consume all the junk food, soda, and sweets that advertisements are shoveling down your throat.
    - be a womanizer, maintain constant superhuman sexual performance in bed
    - also spend a lot of time watching porn and jacking off.
    - be as selfish as you can, worship yourself, treat yourself and the only person you should care about is yourself.
    - let the media tell you what clothes you should wear, what belief you should have, what girl you should love or what music you should listen to. They know it better than you do.
    - basically don't give a f**k about people in need, mistrust and ignore charity in all forms.

If you don't fit in then you are being blamed, judged and rejected. Why would you put up with that? Why would you blame yourself for trying not to put up with all this bullshit and failing once in a while? I think it's not shameful, it's honourable. It's easy to be strong when everything is (seems to be) alright. Even the great heroes are being beaten, smashed to ground, the difference is that they stand up and carry on fighting.

In the time of these unreal expectations and pressure generated by the media, quitting porn is probably one of the toughest thing to do. Don't you ever feel bad about failing. It's a real fight.

For the first time in your life you can feel like a real man who takes up the fight. You face a great challenge and confront it. Now you take control. It's you who dictate the rules. I mean that's what real men do right?

I hear what your saying and also believe that the even though we are each responsible for our own current behaviours and how we move forward having seen porn etc for what it is we also need to wake up not only to the fact we are being force fed this (and many other varieties of) shit from cradle to grave, we also need to understand WHY and this is something that could be discussed much more on this forum because, important as it is to deal with the symptoms, we really need to get to the causes in order to make a lasting change for both ourselves and others (but it all depends how deep into the rabbit hole people are prepared to go?)

Just another quickie but I also agree that (your kind of suggesting) the 'macho' domineering, possessive alpha male is a dis-eased aspect of our troubled race as are all extremes including weak and submissive females needy of their 'macho' knights in shining armour (thanks Disney/Hollywood!!)
And not to forget the macho 'feminists' who appeared in the 80s and 90s completely missing the point with their power shoulder outfits and girlpower bullshit where young girls were going out acting like lads rather than assertively embracing/championing their femininity in all its glory!

Rather than repeat myself I'll copy and paste this, you might find something of interest in there? http://www.nofap.org/forum/showthread.php?2930-Easy-Tiger!!
