So the willpower book mentioned the idea of associating some kind of dopamine producing stimuli with stuff you want/need to do but may not have the motivation for. The few examples in the book were related to gambling and .. well Christmas. (one woman who procrastinated about cleaning up a room played xmas music and I guess lit scented candles) And of course food might be another one, but I realized all those things might be addictions in themselves, especially with the holiday season you know retailers are using neuromarketing techniques to manipulate you.

The best I've been able to come up with as far as something neutral is supplements, amino acids like tyrosine or maybe even an herbal source of l-dopa like mucuna/velvet bean. But I guess as long as you don't have a gambling/overeating/shopping addiction those other ones may be okay to use. I don't really think in themselves these things will make you love those things you want to do, but if they're healthy a lot of times they have their own chemical reward like exercise endorphins, and nutritious food..

So that's the idea, do you have any little tricks for this?

Oh the gambling thing was having scratcher tickets next to paperwork that needs to be done.
