    Hi,

We spend so much time looking for titillation from the outside world (e.g. porn, music videos, celebrities), or for validation from others, that we don't even realise just how sexy WE are as individuals. I did this exercise for myself yesterday and it almost instantly improved my view of myself (as someone who's had low self-esteem his entire life). It's not a quick fix, but it's certainly helping me feel better about myself. Below are the attributes that I find sexy about myself.

    Physical

    · Big brown eyes

    · The way my eyes light up when I hear/do/say something that means a lot to me

    · Big eyelashes

    · Cute nose stud

    · Slender figure

    · Nice bum

    · Bright smile

    · Smooth brown skin

    · Shaved head

    · Rugged beard

    · Clean complexion

    · Strong cheekbones

    · Well dressed

    · Always smell good

    Personality (descending order of importance)

    · Intensity

    · The way my eyes, face and voice lock into you when I’m discussing something I truly care about

    · The way my voice softens when I talk about something I care about (like I’m caressing you with my passion)

    · My boyish eagerness to discuss in depth with you the things I care about. The twinkle in my eye when I'm enlivened.

    · Tenacious, relentless

    · Sensual

    · Ability to listen

    · Gives back to the community (charity, mentoring, trade union)

    · Creative (sketching, music, writing)

    · Intelligence

    · Stoic

    · Disciplined

    · Vigilant

    · Men don’t give me trouble on the streets/in the bars/in the clubs

    · Pensive

    · Willing to push own boundaries

    Practical (descending order of importance)

    · Can do DIY

    · Can cook

    · Can dance kizomba

    · Can enjoy simple things (e.g. being out in the sun, eating dessert)

Try this exercise for yourself and see if it makes you feel better about yourself. If you struggle to identify anything then you can try identifying the attributes YOU would like to have (rather than what you think other people want you to have) and make a plan to attain those over time.
