Hey everyone, I am from India and am looking forward to make a huge difference in my life. i have been suffering from porn addiction and masturbation since i was 18 years old. I am 28 now so its been 10 years of this stuff.

I have tried multiple times with a friend of mine from school as he suffered with the same type of addiction to control it. We both were in the same boat together, and decided to be each other's check if something went wrong. We decided to share our experience of our successes and failures if we looked or abstained from looking at porn or masturbation. At first it all went well but slowly both of us were unable to control our addictions and we spiraled back to it. It didn't help that many of my classmates used to do the same thing and told us that its a great stress buster and helps you deal with real life and all that other stuff we keep telling ourselves.

Fast forward to 10 years now, its like my personal demon which has stuck with me since that time. I have tried my best multiple times to avoid looking at porn and not masturbating but the most I have been successful is for 4-5 days. And even at that time, my mind has been constantly wandered off to fantasies and other stuff to keep me engaged to break the chain. I started feeling heavy around my groin area as if something needed to come out and I had to indulge in masturbation to feel light down that area. This has been going on for quite some time.

So finally after searching through the internet I came across this wonderful site and after reading some posts on the forum i finally realized that its not just me who is fighting this everyday battle. There are tons of people and it gave me a motivation to start my fight again starting yesterday because its never too late to start afresh. I believe if we can all stay true and united with each other we can conquer this hideous beast inside our minds.

Its so good to be here :) looking forward to interact with everyone here.

Its great to meet you. Congrats on your 25 days. Hope I can see myself reach this number soon. Up until now it has not been past 5 days, but I am more committed after seeing the numbers of many people here.

I can't even handle it after the 5th day. Do you have any tips for a newbie like me?

My ultimate tips is to keep ourselves busy and avoid being alone. Those helped my during my 55-day streak

Thanks a lot for your tips. I tend to spend my free time reading books but it does happen that after passing of some days, my mind's concentration for fantasies usually overtakes itself for the concentration in books.

I see.. probably you should avoid being alone. And find something more 'active' than reading books.
