How can i win over my mind which is not even giving me time to think?

  1. Note: First it is about my past then there are questions, you can skip my past and answer my questions if you have less time.
    ***********My past **************
    (21 Male) I have been into excessive porn and masturbation for 9 years and I have been trying to stop it from 7 years and I am not able to maintain my target which is abstaining from PMO. I have tried self-hypnosis which worked for only one time( i was able to abstain myself for 30 days).
    What is happening to me is that:
    First, I go on binge P&M for approximately 3 to 4 days.(12 times masturbation).
    Then, I become numb and don't have any desire for P&M and then after 7 to 8 days. My body starts craving for it and then I reset to binge again.Also, and if I don't do it and abstain somehow (i don't know pure luck) after few days, I feel no joy in anything and feel depressed. And at this point, i generally reset to same binge action and the cycle goes on.
    *******My Questions*******
    Q1. Now, I am in this state that my mind gives me just a suggestion of porn and next minute I am watching porn and doing masturbation.
    There is not even a thinking point in my cycle to watch porn. Masturbate is deeply wired into my brain. How can I use this NoFap in the best way as my condition is so weak that I cannot think anything and might go on masturbation next second.

    I am also suffering from PIED as I am only turned on by 2D pictures. I am in such a bad condition that lingerie advertisement or a scantily dressed girl in picture or pc arouse me and I do masturbation. I need help.

    Q2. I read a book that told that this state after abstaining from porn is because of repression. So, how can I tackle this repression thing?

    You have to just don't react to those urges. You must find your own strategy to fight temptations. When I get sexually excited by something my addicted brain is always showing me those awful flashbacks of porn videos that I watched months ago but I am not trying to stop seeing them because I know that this is imppssible. When I see those flashbacks at first I am trying to stay calm and don't panic and I let those flashbacks to be in my mind. I am just observing them but don't react to them at all and they will went away after some time. This is my strategy that works for me. You must find your way to fight urges. Good luck!

    They say don't stock beer in a fridge in a house with an alcoholic. So similarly as a porn addict, I have to ask you: What have you done to make porn less accessible to you? Have you tried installing pop-up blocking software so you see less erotic/triggering ads? Have you considered porn filters? Could you frequent websites that don't have scantily clad women on them? How about removing your internet browser from your phone?

    The point is, what have you done to help make your immediate environment more porn-proof? Of course changing your environment is not a permanent strategy and can be really inconvenient, however, given how weak you say you are currently, a more porn-proof environment might be able to give you a fighting chance for you to develop your ability to resist temptation.

  4. I have changed my phone to Nokia 1250 which don't have anything mean I can just talk. I have installed k9 blue coat and given the password to someone else but I am able to bypass it by going into safe mode which is creating the problem.
     
  5. I have tried those strategies to like diverting and just watch them. For me, I tried going outside when I feel tempted but what happens is that, when I come back to my room. I feel more tempted and they don't leave me even after few days. Any suggestion.

    Physical activity helps only for a moment. You must learn how to fight urges while being still and calm in your mind and body.

    What's your general life situation, OP. Do you exercise regularly, go to school, have a job, etc. It'd help to know how you usually spend your time.

    Apparently you aren't taking this addiction seriously. You first need to find a very strong reason to stop doing PMO, and then you need to build your hobbies and habits, and make a plan for special cases. Urges are inevitable. Don't expect to never come, even at your 90th day. You're gonna encounter many obstacles in your life, one of them, is porn and masturbating. Be in the minority, only a very few people manage to overcome those obstacles, and build a successful life. Doing PMO will definitely relieve depression and will increase your self control and confidence. Try to think whenever you get an urge. Do I really want to do it? Will I be happy after relapsing? Life is like a rope, if you walk on it very carefully with noticing every move you make, you won't fall down, if you don't, you'll definitely fall.

    2. You need to get physical.

    Hmmo_O I suggest you go slow first. Do nofap until you cannot anymore, then try to masturbate without any content/porn, if you cannot, continue nofapo_O Now this will still not be easy, so I will give you some tools to help you in the first few steps so you get out of the well you're in right now.

    First one: do not sit while using computer:eek: Do not do it. that is the position that most of men jerk off. Don't be in that position. unless you play games you don't need to sit. Stand instead. You also get some exercise from it. Also, if you feel tired at day, do not use bed, go lay on the floor, it is not as comfortable as bed is, therefore you will not be so inclined to jerk off.

    Second one: Get started doing cold showers. Start small, aim big. It will temper your mindset to really push through all this.

    You might be weak, but so is ironoxide, before it's melted in a fire and hammered by the smith. Hammer yourself:cool: Hammer your mindset:cool: Your body will change and even your brain will change, when you slowly but surely begin to work it. It's taunting and if you're bad you have to toss your failed attempts again into the fire, until it's exactly what you need and you're happy about it.o_O

Yes. i do paranayam regularly and i have college ..but i when i have to do masturbation or watch porn..i don't think anything..i might just watch even before class in hurry...I am generally free. Actually , i read when i am free but when i have urges or sometimes i am not able to read or don't have mood to read at all or to do anything..And this thing happen before watching pornography...
     
  13. I don't know what it is to be taking it to be seriously but i know i have always give my best. i have tried everything within my range. One time..i even cried and then their was a maelstrom and then..i lost again to my urges...And after trying from so many years...no reason worked for me..nothing worked for me..these CBT, self hypnosis, sheer will....i just don't listen anything when i am tempted..my life feels like a robot..i do without thinking now..no reason gives me power...i am hollow...but i just have desire to be normal..that's why i even try now.

    When urges come on, try breathing exercises to help calm your mind. I find them to be very helpful in times of stress and just about anything else really. Don't be afraid to fall though, just keep on getting up and pushing forward, you can beat this thing! We as a community will stand together to help you achieve your goal.

  18. I did this, the only way to bypass this is to give up your computer admin rights... Make this other person the only one with the password to your account, it makes it much harder to bypass it with safe mode, I know cause I'm this bad as well... I used k9, I'll tell you though, it ruined me for a long time, I couldn't do anything I wanted on my computer... I needed password after password. It didn't work for me, I always found ways around it, or I'd go to desperate measures, making porn with 3D. But just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it will not work for you.
     
  19. Give up admin right...I am able to use safe mode from standard user account in windows if i am not a admin...and it hadn't work for me too...And all software can protect in normal mode though...
