I could use some support

    Hey guys/ladies,


    Today I have been experiencing some serious withdrawals. And I have serious desires to look at porn and masturbate. I have been agitated and I snapped at my friend the other day. I have been dealing with so much stress and I usually use porn to sooth myself.

    I really want to break down and give in. If anyone could give me some words of advice or just support that would be much appreciated. I could use some NoFap community support. I really feel like breaking down.

    Also if anyone needs an accountability partner send me a private message.

    It looks like you have way too much energy and in emotional distress.

    1. I would suggest that you go to the gym or do other sports to release the pressure.

    2. For the emotional stuff, bible and christianity helped me in a big way. You can try that or at least, you have a look on some TED videos about the stuff you are into.

    (basically, the idea is to forgive others whatever happened, solve your internal issues and get motivated)

    If you are not angry then there is no need to sooth yourself, right? ;-)

    Thank you. I am a Christian and I have not been relying on the assurances of God. That may be a reason why I have so much stress and anxiety. I also feel like I am going to relapse. But I know that we must walk out our recovery one day at a time. Congratulations on reaching 133 days.

    exercise is good yes. if you see again and again how anger hurts and don't want to do it again you will then figure out that you will not want to desire anything as that will inevitably lead to anger . If you understand this then the desire goes and cravings disappear easily. Then you have to work on the mind so you don't want to sooth it so much through pleasure but instead it has its own mechanism for satisfaction - relying on inner strength.

    By far my friend hands down I have found the best exterminator of ANY bad habit including masturbation is SWEAT. Go hard and fast and I'm not talking about bamboozling your fun stick. Weights, running, biking, hiking, cycling, hiit, boxing, dancing, yoga, calisthenics and so much more. There's something for everybody. Get so into fitness that you're not even thinking about anything else. Every day watch new fitness Youtube videos, read new articles and books, always be researching new information on the net or anywhere you can get it DONT LET THE PSYCH WEAR OUT! Stay absolutely laser focused.

    Kill the PMO with blood, sweat, and tears and come out the other side with a physique and health you've never had before! It's how I beat other bad habits more than once.

    Between days 70-85 so far...

    I could not sleep properly in those days. My hands were shaking and i had a boner.

    Day 90 had calmed me down...

    Just go outside of your house at the slightest hint of thought of PMOing. That seems to help me. Also, if you do a small workout it seems to get rid of those dopamine urges as well as lower my stress. You can do it!
