    Hey guys,

So I'm 130 days into hard mode, and I was wondering if I'm going overboard. Should I masturbate every once in a while just for some release? No porn obviously, but if I'm not out having sex, isn't it unhealthy if I just never release semen? Are there studies that show otherwise?

I also haven't had a wet dream yet. I know a lot of guys act as though having wet dreams is enough for their "release", but I'm not even getting those.

    Regards,

    B

  2. It depends on your age? My urologist once told me that as long as you are waking up with an erection, you should release twice a month, via sex or yourself. Once you hit your 40s or 50s, once a month or less. I don't think there is any real proof of harm from not releasing, as long as you don't edge, your body just reabsorbs what isn't released. Edging is very harmful to your prostate gland.

  3. How long has it been since you had a wet dream?
It would be a good idea to ask a doctor about this.
You're right that wet dreams are the natural way to release semen. It's a bit odd that you aren't getting them.

Man don't worry it is just your mind trying to get you back into your old ways. Watch Out! I did 218 without release or wet dream. It was probably one of the best things I did for myself in my life. I am like totally rebooted now better than ever. Keep going another bit me thinks you should never aim to reset in my book. If you do reset make sure it is only once and you put another long streak down of at least 2-4 weeks or longer and dont use images or get stuck on fantasies. I met a beautiful girl the other day and she was so so hot and damn sexy. The last thing I wanted to do was go home and mo about her. This would turn her into an object and she was so so much a human being with feelings not an object.

I have had many wet dreams... They are just regular dreams nothing else... when you notice in the morning you'll see that your penis is filled with precum, which means u ejaculated in the night... but... ejaculations happen overnight without wet dreams too, so I don't think you need to masturbate.

  8. here is my story, I went about 4 5 months with out any masterbating, and then I did it once, then I did it 2 times, then well now I am doing it almost daily again, it is not worth it, you will re trigger your brain into needing that momentary high.!!! masterbate at your own risk!! MASTERBATE AT YOUR VERY OWN RISK OF DOING IT DAILY AGAIN.

Have u been experiencing any pain in your testicle area? Sometimes even blue balls can cause this...but if u haven't then I would say there is nothing to worry about. It is quite strange that u haven't had any wet dreams well over 4 months though. I would perhaps consult a Doctor just too be sure about that....I am currently on day 72 and I have also not had any wet dreams, but I smoke weed every night so I don't really get a chance to dream at all haha (I should really stop though)...

No you don't need to see a doctor just because you haven't had a wet dream.

Here's information from the NHS (National Health Service in UK, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Health_Service).
    http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Documents/sex mythbuster read-only.htm

There's so many myths that not ejaculating would somehow be dangerous. But that's not true.

I've had streaks of over 90 days twice, I never had any wet dreams during those streaks. But once I had a streak of about 60 days, and I had a wet dream at the end of it.

It seems that long NoFap streaks increases the likelihood of wet dreams. But just doing NoFap for long enough isn't a guarantee for getting wet dreams. And some people get wet dreams without being on NoFap.

  11. There is no definitive medical pro or con regarding mo. Studies say it lessens cancer, studies say in young men it increases cancer risk. The science is out to lunch as of yet.

    if it worries you ..
    Then release.

You've reached 130 days, I believe you can do it again.

I agree with those who have said here that masturbation is not necessary. it is something we may want but we definitely do not need. I say keep your streak going. I wish I had given up masturbation years ago - because of the amount of time I have wasted on it and because of how introverted it kept me in the past.
Wet dreams seem to be so variable. I havent had one in decades.
Keep your semen. Save your passion for when you are with another - then it will be 10 times better!
