I've been reflecting on the quote "You can't be tempted by something you don't desire". This has been powerful for me in this journey, and I feel that NoFap communities can be a hindrance sometimes, and it inadvertently keeps our minds in p*rn. Not to say that these communities aren't beneficial, becaue they truly are, however, one should exercise discernment and know when to take a break. The best way is to go (at least in my experience) is to block it, remove your access, and go on with life. Soon, you'll look back after weeks have passed and realize how much p*rn was holding you down. Simply remove it from your mind, and don't bring it back to remembrance, even if it's NoFap content.

    Hope this helps someone.

I agree with you somewhat. My first experience with nofap I journaled every day, all that did was serve as a reminder that porn is a few clicks away. I tend to only journal now if I feel urges coming on to use as an outlet. Or the complete opposite, when I have no urges whatsoever, almost like putting a finger up at the addiction.

Where I disagree is I’ve stopped associating the nofap forums with PMO, I more use it to speak to likeminded individuals about psychology, philosophy and other forms of self improvement. It’s essentially Reddit with more of a focus on positive improvements in my life.
