Hi Everyone, I just signed up for the site. I've been struggling with this addiction for almost 4 years now and its getting to the point where I really need to stop. I relapsed today even though I have so many blockers set up, I keep getting around them and I have to formulate a strategy ASAP, on how to finally beat this thing and atleast achieve a 30 day streak (My highest ever was 40 days back in december 2020).

I have a girlfriend who doesnt know about it all, I feel ashamed and I don't want her to know, I just wanna be over and done with this thing. Anyways, I am going to continue posting here daily as a sort of blog or place to vent through my journey. I am hoping this will keep me more accountable, I want to beat this, I want to be free, this is my form of trying something new.

If anyone needs a friend or someone to talk to, or wanna tackle this addiction together, please message me. I look forward to getting to know the community

    Welcome!

I have been a PMO addict for over 25 years. It is totally possible for you to find freedom and healing. I am very familiar with the shame that you’re speaking of.

One thing I would suggest is to find someone to tell all the stuff too. Just get current with someone in your real life, if you can. If you are continuing to pursue a deeper, longer lasting relationship with your GF, it may not be possible to have real intimacy with her while continuing to hide your struggles.

In my experience, healing from the shame of PMO addiction is never done in secret. Secrecy is the key to shame. Secrecy and hiding is what gives shame it’s power. If you want to find companionship and healing, confession is where to start.

Perhaps the community here can help with the beginnings of that.
