My Strict NoFap / Dopamine Detox Rules

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by Deleted Account, Sep 12, 2021.

  1. Some of my strict rules for a healthy recovery and to build self-discipline...
    • Using social media is a relapse as it releases dopamine (no Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Twitter) YouTube allowed for educational/work/podcast purposes.
    • Listening to Music is a relapse as it releases heavy amounts of dopamine.
    • Mindlessly scrolling through the internet and procrastinating (0/5 strikes)
    • No Phone. (full stop)
    • Maladaptive Day Dreaming is a relapse, if you do it accidentally it's not a relapse but if you keep revisiting it with wrong intentions it's a relapse. (0/5 strikes)
    • Fantasizing about cuddling and being romantic with a made-up girl is a relapse. if you do it accidentally it's not a relapse but if you keep revisiting it with wrong intentions it's a relapse. (0/3 strikes)
    • Fantasizing about specific porn scenes is a relapse.
    • Watching porn, even without masturbating to it
    • Orgasm to any form of (artificial) stimulation
    • Seeing a sex scene in a movie/tv series is not a relapse unless you masturbate to it
    • Any pornographic material is still a relapse
    • Masturbating counts as a relapse
    • Purposely seeking and searching for pornography (peeking) is a relapse as it releases heavy amounts of dopamine.
    • Too much fantasizing (to the point of edging) is a relapse
    • Stimulating sex stories are a relapse because you purposely seek another way around to get horny.
    • Encountering sex scenes, soft porn, memes with sexual content, and more on accident isn’t a relapse if you can turn away from it at least. If you keep looking at it or keep revisiting them with the wrong intentions I would consider it a relapse
    • Wet dreams are still NOT a relapse, since it’s a natural form of release and you have no control over it and it's a good sign of recovery.
    • Must stick to your laid-out diet.
    • Must take COLD SHOWER twice a day.
    • Must wake up early to build that discipline.
    • Must go to the Gym/training martial arts / complete workouts fully.
    • Read books before bed and go to bed early and on time.
