PMO, this addiction. This horrible habit I’ve allowed myself to indulge in has prevented me from many things. Knocked my confidence and self esteem. Caused physical damage, pied. It’s warped my view of women and even the world.

The one positive to come out of this is that I’m not normal. Being “not normal” allows me to be the outsider. Be the guy who instead of floating through life with everything mediocre looks deep into himself. Become self aware. Realise that not only can I recover from the addiction I can be a better version of myself. Instead of using the internet for pmo I use it to by books and learn things. From motivational speakers to entrepreneurs. I’m embarking on a journey of not just recovering from this habit but learning, growing as a man.

Embrace the trauma, sadness and regret of this addiction and use it as motivation!

The only person you ever really fight is yourself.......come out swinging

That’s actually a pretty awesome observation... And the mentioning of ‘embracing the sadness’ of the whole situation, that’s gold. Because, without acceptance there is no possibility of recovery.

  4. Thats a really smart and positive way to look at life. I did some bad stuff in my life and made bad decisions, nowadays instead of complaining and being harsh on myself all the time i try to meditate on it, i learned the hard way how to try to be the best version of myself, and sometimes when u are in those dark times you actually see how everyone and the world is even worse sometimes and you can still rise above everyone because deep inside you know whats right and what you can do to improve. It is a hard thing these days a person that can look at herself/himself and see the bad habits they have and think about what they can do to improve their lives. We are better people everyday because we are trying to overcome or own demons in silence.

  8. Not normal Coolyorky? No one is normal I know I'm not (don't mean to offend anyone), what is normal?

Watching P is the social norm, (social norm = to please society not ourselves), we can't always please society and please ourselves, or not of the whole of society. you deciding to stop watching P is the morally right thing to do.

A lot of people are normal. The majority of people work 37.5 hours a week and read one book a year. They stop drinking and start a health kick the start of the new year etc there’s a lot of mediocre people around (don’t mean to offend).
