I followed the steps for pluckeye two weeks ago but would struggle to explain exactly what I did. Works great however since then, my webcam on my laptop won't work - just shows a camera icon with a diagonal line through it on all apps. Could this be because of pluckeye? Have you heard of this before?

I checked the app permissions for the camera and all are on

    Thanks

    pluck export
    and send me the output

Hey man, is there any way to filter youtube while keeping the comments on?

I don’t think there is an ‘official’ way to do it. You could use flee, for example:
    Pluck + flee word badword
This will block all sites containing the string “badword” in its content not just the URL.

But isn't it a bit extreme you think? Say you want to block the word 'porn', then even this site would be blocked no?

Yes, but allow rules override flee rules.
So use pluck + allow nofap.com
This is the only way that I know to predict if a webpage is safe or not.

But, but, allow function comes into effect only after the delay period right? I think it takes too much effort to identify all the 'badwords' and then whitelist websites. I'll give myself one chance, and if I relapse using youtube, restricted mode it is.

And btw thanks for all your efforts man, you are a life saver.

Maybe you could just use flee with bad channels' names. Trust me, you can be creative.
I really appreciate your words, man. Thank you!

Maybe, you're right. It may seem complicated at first. I will add that to my to-do list. Could you tell me which steps you found hard to understand?

Hey! Thank you for this tutorial. I have two questions:

    - can I use any other family filter DNS, such as 1.1.1.3?
    - Where exactly can I change the level? I couldn't find it anywhere. Using Manjaro Linux and latest Chromium... Edit: Level 2 is called "System: On" since Pluck 1.0

Now it works great on Chromium, but I prefer Firefox, which now has all images blocked, but still access to porn sites. Any ideas? I'm using Firefox 87 with Pluck-Addon

Yes, you can. Just change your system's DNS to that one and make changes to the pluckeye rules.
Firefox is unsupported by pluckeye 1.0, unfortunately :(
    Anytime!

Hi, when I try setting the installation to level 2 it says this. Failed to set the installation level because pluck set 'level 2' failed with status: 809140249

    What should I do?

Yes that was me. I accidentally ended up having two versions of pluckeye at once. I've done a system restore so I can properly install. Which version do you suggest I go with?

Also, I understand that these blockers block torrent sites as well, is it possible to only block porn related/NSFW torrents but not others? I ask, because I download movies and shows from torrents

You could do a lot more with 1.0
I think Cold Turkey could be used to do that. It will block only URLs that contain bad words.
