Porn has invaded my work life

I work as an on-road technician. So few people pay attention to me during the work day that ive spent lunch breaks in my company vehicle (unmonitored) watching P. Ive even indulged in M a few times.

This is so low for me! Its never been this bad before. This is in public now. I could lose my job because of this, and its my only foot into my trade and a possible apprenticeship soon. But the urge keeps coming back, and if I dont give in, its on my mind the whole day.

No matter how I think about it, I feel like a repulsive person. This is in public now. I dont see how it can get much worse
 
I see that you realize this is a problem.
You do need to stop bc someone could see you and you could get in trouble. Whether with some law enforcement or losing the opportunity you have. Panic button, post on nofap, put yourself not in the place where you can mess up, so outside of the company car/truck or whatever. Have lunch somewhere else my suggestion. Dont give up!
 
I've seen it myself that porn usually intrudes when we don't really have any dire need to complete a task at hand and have lots of time. Indulge yourself in some other activities and make it a goal. The time that you're masturbating or watching porn you can utilize to do some other work and earn more, or just study something that could in future would be productive for you. The first few days would be the hardest. All the best. Think of all the things that you can do to change your condition and change the world, and you're wasting your time watching porn. Maybe you can discover the key to immortality or increased longevity or anything that could cause a revolution. You can do it! Stop wasting energy and take control of your own life. I stopped PMO for 40 days and you won't believe how much my creativity and understanding developed during this time, unfortunately I relapsed due to the burden of work and sickness, it was my fault. All the best!

Yeah, I do my best to stay busy these days. It does help but I find the most dangerous parts are when youre not busy. I love playing and writing music, but I cant be banging the drums at 1130 at night Ive just got to admit that I have really let my self control go, my skills and career are so mich more important than a 5 minute fap session

We were discussing many of the same issues in this thread about public masturbation Many people reached out to me to talk about the exact issue you are dealing with. Dudeurawesome and GA93 both have excellent points. Love the idea of changing your routine. If you are like me you most likely have patterns that you follow methodically without you being mindful of them. For me it was what I call 'outskirting' where when I wasn't in class I would drive my car on all the minor roads that surround the town in a large loop. I repeated it so often that I knew where every little opportunity to sneak in porn or masturbate was on the loop where I could get a moment of privacy. Do you have these patterns? If so try changing them up and see if it helps get rid of subtle Pavlovian triggers. Take different roads to your service calls and see if it helps break the cycle. Change up what you listen to on the radio, or get a air freshener (to jolt your brain out of a haze)

You are a musician - could you get a computer with music editing software and learn to create digital art using your samples? Still doing it on company time but wouldn't it be a wonderful skill to acquire? Audacity is a good starter and move up to something like Adobe Audition. I find pursuing a new passion with the same amount of focus I spent on porn can be more exhilarating than a series of forgettable/regrettable sexual experiences.

I think you will find some great support here if you take it seriously. Best of luck on breaking your habit.

If the problem is when you are working stayed alone in the car and you are in a break, a possible option is exit from it and eat outside and leave the phone inside the car. If you want listen music in this moments outside the car, you can buy a cheap mp3 player (it doesn't have internet access) for these moments and walk some minutes around.

hey man good to have you and thanks for sharing.

I like to share that, this is the lie of the addiction.

The truth is if you stand FIRM upon the first temptation and deny it firmly and let it go (without fighting it) you will overcome it, Alternatively, if you gave in to the temptation then it will be with you all day.

Because you have been giving in to the urges, they have power now, but the reality is YOU HAVE TOTAL FREE WILL.

you have to rediscover your free will - You can do that by taking BOLD actions to SHOW your mind you mean business.

You have to get very clear on how this is affecting you, take the time to write a letter to yourself, make an announcement pubically, join an accountability group, put a tracker on your name and take on a new discipline such as meditation or exercise.

Then the first temptation come here and start helping some one else, or read about others pain to remind you of the pain so you dont relapse.

If you do this HONESTLY you will have some success feel amazing and then out of no where you will relapse.

That's when you should forgive yourself, and TRY AGAIN. and AGAIN and AGAIN and one day you wake up and you have a totally new life.

You gotta master your mind man, you can do it, just have to be SINCERE and PATIENT and SELF FORGIVING.

its a process of self discovery, approach it in a light fun, gentle way get more serious as you go ;)

Good on you to realize this. Stop with the "disgusting" names you call yourself. Call yourself smart to realise this and coming here. Feeling bashful/dirty/immoral leads to anxiety. Anxiety leads to self-medication....usually with alcohol, drugs and or MORE PORN.
I did self-medicate with porn to cure my anxiety for years...anxiety cause by WORK. I was an on-road technician before and it was something I loved to do (the trade), but I hated the emergency calls, the stand-bys, the service calls during the night...I got tired, drank more alcohol during time off, more porn during my time off, etc. Also, junk food eating to catch up between calls...doritos, pop, rinse and repeat...

But, ENOUGH with the name calling. You just tripped on an unexpected landmine...porn....something that most people find normal. Its not, its causing more casualties than you think.
