    Hello fellow NoFappers,

I just wanted to share some words for those who might struggle to know what the drawbacks of porn can be. In the moment when you are in PMO, you may not consider these effects. That is why I'm here to provide some clarity.

Here are some aspects of porn to think about in the future...

    1. Porn is Addicting- when you think of addiction, pornography might not be the first thing that comes to mind, but, like alcohol and marijuana, porn is a drug. It is a substance that can create dependency and tolerance. You crave its effects and desire more and more, no matter the cost. However, it soon becomes time consuming. It takes over a significant portion of your life, so much that becomes part of your life. You cannot go without it, and you sacrifice your time, money, memories, energy, when you could have been doing something more productive than watching people have sex and/or you jacking off to it. Is that really what you want to accomplish in life?

    2. Porn is Degrading- in more ways than one. First, it damages your brain by weakening your cognition, judgment, and memory. Next, it can produce some physical side effects, including trembling, poor sleep habits, and mood alterations. Third, it could damage some future "intimate" problems, ranging from getting into a romantic relationship, to erectile dysfunction and premature/delayed ejaculation. Fourth, it can strain your relationships with others, especially if you put them off and prioritize porn. Porn is not worth losing so much.

    3. Porn is Temporary- well, at least the PMO part (the effects are long-lasting). Sure, you can do it for long periods of time, but the feelings you get are only a short rush of dopamine mixed with a few visual effects. You like what you see, plain and simple. You might even get to MO to it, but then it's over. You feel a little down that it's done, and you may even feel some shame afterward, but that eventually fades. Then, the cycle repeats itself. You need another hit, another rush. Once that's over, guilt. And that's when the addiction starts to form.

    4. Porn is Not worth it- to put the previous points together, what porn puts you through is not worth your time. The psychological torture, the physical harm, the relationship struggles. Just because of some people having sex, and an ejaculation of semen. That doesn't seem very rewarding, overall. But you know what is?
-Exercise, that helps parts of your body aside from your penis.
-Fulfilling relationships, you can view women (or men) as something more than sex symbols.
    -Self-Confidence
    -Achievement
    -Happiness

My point is, while porn can be slightly satisfying, it is extremely debilitating. There are things out there better than pornography. And if you don't realize that now, you are going to, trust me. But by then, it might already be too late.

I hope this post helps you in your NoFap journeys. Be sure to read some of my other content :)
