Ready to Turn My Life Around!

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by AstroNerd98, Mar 17, 2017.

  1. Hi!

I'm a gay physics and mathematics student in the mid-west United States. I'm nineteen years old now, but I can still remember the first time I looked at (straight) porn at the age of eleven. It was innocent then, but things have definitely gone downhill. Eight years later I'm a busy, but driven, university student with high aspirations to make a difference in the world somehow. However, I would like to start by making a difference in myself. Porn consumption has all but taken-over my life, and my grades, relationships, sex life, and mental health are suffering because of it. I think I am more than ready to take on this challenge and start a new page in my life--starting today! Please feel free to comment or PM me, as I would love to get to know as many people as possible and hear your stories and find APs!

    Peace and love :)

If you want freedom from your demons bad enough. You will succeed.

You can and will succeed. Even if it takes longer than you hope.
    Perseverance will prevail.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

  4. I'm glad to be here! :p
I've already deleted all my online porn accounts, erased all the porn from my phone, and downloaded Cold Turkey onto both my phone and my laptop. My worst trigger is when I'm by myself studying. I get bored with what I'm working on and then my mind automatically turns to porn. It's gotten so bad that I'll usually masturbate in the library bathroom multiple times per day. For those moments, I need to find a way to power through the urges and refocus my attention on something productive. I don't have enough time in a day to accomplish everything I need to even without the multiple hours of productivity I lose due to PM.
