Restarting my journey

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by Hopeful Dreamer, Nov 20, 2021.

  1. Hello everyone! :)
Today I'm publicly committing through this post to break my porn addiction in the next 90+ days. I'm not new to NoFap, I've already been in the Reddit community for almost a year and, even though I've relapsed several times all these months, I've learned a lot of things in the community. And now I'm more motivated than ever - and yes, I finally joined the forums here!

Right now I'm about to finish day 3, and the inner battle is going really hard so far. But I know that this time I'll do it, I'm persistent and I'm pretty sure in 3 months I'll be writing my first victory post here!

My story, very briefly, is the following: I've been consuming P since I was 12, and it started to become an addiction by the time I was 15 (only 3 years ago). I'm a very introverted person and since last year it's been just worse - 20 months in online education, practically no human contact with other teenagers (only online, and Discord be addictive too). So my addiction just became very stressful and time-wasting at this point, and as I mentioned before I've already been like 10 months trying to quit (my longest streak has been 14 days twice), but nothing has worked so far. My main reason to get out of this dark world of PMO is to increase my productivity and improve my mental health, and thus achieve my most ambitious goals for the next years - I need that energy and time that was stolen from me since I was a kid, and I know this is the correct path to follow!

This time I feel some enlightenment, and I'm very sure I will complete my first reboot cycle in my current streak. Right now my biggest motivation is that by the time I'll end my first cycle (90 days in Hardmode) I'll move to a new city to finally study in my campus - and I need to remove bad habits from my life before that happens! I'm also really motivated (and actually excited about the process itself) thanks to the YouTuber Josh Hudson (Pinnacle of Man) - his videos are really fun, entertaining and encouraging for this process, just found his Pinnacle of Man channel 2 dasy ago and I feel really happy because it was in the perfect timing!

So this is the new start of my NoFap journey, I will try to journal everyday for the first weeks in different threads and seek for helpful accountability groups over here to not go all alone through this process. Please stay strong everyone, good luck in your journey and see you in 87 days in the Success Stories forums!
