Personally one that works well for me when I'm feeling like an itch away from giving myself an orgasm is watching documentaries, it can be anything from space to nature to geography to engineering, as long as the subject matter takes some attention being paid to understand. If I have to actually expend mental energy to understand what's being said unlike in a mindless tv show, it's harder for my thoughts to wander to masturbation. I also find a lot of these topics interesting and anything that holds my attention is useful.
That's a good suggestion. My only worry is that I want to stop partly because I want to free up more time to do things I want rather than doing things to avoid masturbation.
I have a hard time with TV to avoid porn. My brain fog makes me unable to get into/follow a television show or movie. Why is this?
Hyperfocusing on some new hobby or pursuit is a good way to stay distracted. For me, astronomy is a healthy rabbit hole. So much to learn and discover.
The brain fog blockes they way your mind digests the information put infront of you. You find it difficult to understand what is being said or the points being made. It also makes you uninterested in the topic at hand because maybe it requires too much hard work so instead you will most likely return to binging on whatever that requires less brain activity.
