    I thought it might be useful to make a thread listing teachings from the Pali Canon which are relevant to dealing with sensuality.

    I find it a useful summary, queried in a relatable way by a layman (like us). Hope it inspires.

    Please share your own favourites, or ask questions if you're not too familiar with the Pali Canon.

    Guarding the senses, particularly external experiences.....actually this is easy for me compared to guarding my mind from internal rememberances and fantasies,,,,,
    However I will do my best. I am a committed Tibetan Buddhist, but the traditional Buddhist Canon is so useful for working with the mind concerning desire, attachment, and the distracting arising thoughts in the mind....
    I am in a difficult place in my life....I am developing my job as a Handyman, and dealing with this addiction to pornography and masturbation. I would appreciate any prayers or dedications, you can name me as "Tomas"....Genuine thanks
