Hello everyone! I don't know if you already know this, or not and probably some of you already know this, some of you not, so I will say it anyway. Guys, the urges don't last... And I am talking about the length of the urge right when you are triggered. They don't last, but the problem is that in the actual moment, we can't see this, so because of this, I hope that what I am about to say now, is going to help you in the future, especially is going to help the persons who are triggered right now.

So, I was at the PC, playing some videogames and suddenly I've been hit by a very agressive urge. I couldn't control myself, so I've left the calculator, I've gone to the bed and I have been waiting to be alone, in order to masturbate and get rid of the disconfort. As I have been waiting in the bed, I wanted to do something, anything, so I've navigated on YouTube and I wanted to watch any video about NoFap, about urges on NoFap, even better. After a while I've found a video on YouTube about porn urges and what to do when you are triggered (in my mind I was already beaten, I was just waiting to be alone, to masturbate) and I've began to watch this video. The video is 8 minutes long and when I've finished to watch it, I felt completely different, like another person. The urge was gone. Of course, what I've seen in the actual video is interesting and helpful, but in this case I haven't been helped by the information of the video, but by the fact that I've changed what I've been doing. It seems that sometimes, only to change your actual activity is enough to beat the urge. The urge built around me, while I was playing some videogames, but after I switched my focus from one activity to another, the urge has gone. It seems that in the very moment, the urge is building around some special circumstances and when you change those circumstances, the urge is going to fade away. Just try this when you are triggered to watch porn. Change your activity, change your situation and there are really good chances for the urge to end.

It may also be the game itself that was the drive that led you into the trap of doing pmo it may sound weird but when we play video games a lot of dopamine is being released and the body at that point wants to go even further it creates momentum and want to do an activity that is even more compelling and dopamine rewarding. But I'm glad you haven't relapsed that's the way to go! Can you pls tell me the name of the video?

For example when I drink energy drinks almost every time after I finish my drink I want to relapse which is very weird but the body always wants you to continue to do the thing that makes you feel good even if it is bad it doesn't care.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense what are you saying. For us, because we are addicted to pornography consumption, from a brainside perspective, watching porn and masturbating is considered to be the most pleasurable activity to do.

Sure! The name of the video is "#1 Way to Fight the Urge to Watch Pornography". The name of the YouTube channel is "Porn Brain Reboot, Dr. Trish Leigh". I've found about this video just yesterday and she is very clever.
