I asked in my journal thread for advice on keeping your willpower over time. The user named "Again" replied that "You must have a reason and it must be a valid reason that you are passionate about. All the will power in the world won't sustain you when temptations assail you unless you have a reason that you are willing to suffer for." I'm having trouble coming up with my reason and was wondering if others were willing to share theirs.
Willpower is finite and unreliable. the trick is to build habits, modify your environment and having coping strategies ready.
Yes, I think he was trying to say that but also to have a reason why you would do the things you are saying.
The reason you need- I want to become that person, that guy, that friend who never watches porn. If you can feel like that guy, urges lose lots of their power. I've never completely rebooted, however some of my highest streaks only occurred where I had the right mentality.
