    Day 10,
    Stuff is getting better.
    In a stupid turn of events, the fight between me and my girlfriend was over due to more missile attacks, so now we are more okay.

    So for anyone who needs a way to end a couple fight, just run for your life – together. :)

    Day 48
    I have been out of my routine a lot lately due to the end of classes and moving out. Does anybody have any tips for keeping motivation as their streak has lengthened? 48 days is certainly an accomplishment for me. Have a good Sunday fellowship!

    Set some goals for yourself and keep yourself accountable daily. That should do the trick and keep your motivation alive.

    Checking in Fellowship!!! :D

    Here i am my brothers and sisters. this time in full force ;), yesterday was terrible, bad planning of the day, bad start of the day, fight with wife, oh well... terrible day!! still, lot´s of good lessons learned :)

    Today i made the proper changes and the day is going super well. Did a run in the woods this morning, lunch with the family, and when i log off, i´m gonna keep engaging in good activities. Life´s good Fellowship :)

    Lot´s of events in the last 48 hours. Here they are ;)

    @crazyhorse11 / @FellowCompanion - Uruk-Hai
    elms.gif

    @til_im_free - Hobbit / Hobbiton (Your journey has started bro. Make us proud!!! :) )
    hobbits 2.gif

    @ListenPaul - Bree / Eriador
    beer.gif

    @HE^MAN - Dwarf-King / Tower of Cirith Ungol
    RepulsivePotableConey-size_restricted.gif

    Let´s welcome our new brother @CultureMan :)

    I read all the posts in the last 48 hours and i agree on the interesting debate about the "time" and "reboot skills" difference. Sober time heals the brain, but none can make sober time withstand without developing coping skills and changing deeply disfunctional patterns.

    PMO serves as a gratification event, but it also serves as an escape for a series of disfunctional life events, lack of coping skills, hidden pain and shame, lack of self-love and lack of self-worth. so in order to break free from the addiction, one must change himself and his life.

    To put it more simply:

    Willpower alone = abstaining = willpower ends = collapse = back to addiction.

    Changing oneself = overcoming the addiction = trial and error = eventual slip = falling foward = reboot capital increases.

    I put 500 days to the goal, because that´s when the counter stops. Porn addiction experts estimates that the brain needs 18 to 24 months to fully heal. so if i could, i would extend the destruction of the ring to at least 18 months (547 days, make it 550 days for a round number :D ). but the counter doesn´t go there, so 500 days it is, which is still a very close mark.

    You are all right on the matter, none can reach high marks without making proper changes in himself and facing his demons. The addiction recovery journey is based on tackle the addiction, but also and foremost, based on self-improvement. So don´t take the counter too seriously. The counter does not define our level of improvement and it surely doesn´t protect us from a fall. There are many grey areas that one will find (and confront) on this journey.

    Life quality, that´s the real measure of progress. You´re happy and solid? Good. You´re unhappy and unstable? Improve and carry on :)

    Time is passing by, Fellowship, so we got to make the best of our life, living today and creating a life that we admire :).

    So have a great day!!! Checking out :)

    Checking in.

    Sorry fellowship, I relapsed due to stress (my Achilles heel). I had a very bad day, as I have not had for a long time. But everything I´ve improved won´t be lost.

    St. Teresa of Avila, pray for us!

    I think that stress is the Achilles' Heel for a lot of us! Glad to see you're getting back on the horse!

    Day 1,

    It has been a rough couple of days with finals. Reset after reset.

    However, finals are done now so I can walk away from the computer and do not necessarily feel tethered to the computer.

    Best to you all Fellowship!

    Please pray for me today, fellowship. The old fantasies and images are pushing themselves into my consciousness right now.
