Why is Porn named Adult Entertainment ?

I guess because it's preferable not to show it to children?

It should be called toxic and evil entertainment. It would be a much more accurate name.

 

The word Adult entertainment sounds more sophisticated and socially acceptable. How something is advertised makes a difference in convincing the buyer to rationalize that what's being used isn't so bad.

That's why they always refer to strip joints as gentlemen's clubs.

I think it has to do with age? Your not fully sexually developed until your 18 years of age?

Sex is done hidden and people are often uncomfortable talking about it. Porn is an unnatural byproduct of sick lust-ruled minds. Hence there is an euphemism.

 

You must be out of the loop then, there are plenty of warnings like that these days. They warn you that so or so will make you gay or an addict just so you go see it, cuz it sound dangerous/novel. It's like rating a movie 16+, 18+ or banning a book, in most cases it produce the opposite result.

 

I think entertainTment is more accurate but I don't know if humor is appropriate it is a brutally scary industry I mean if you just see the glam and glitz and happy go lucky "sex actors/actresses" well I am saying it is a monstrosity an abominable phenomenon I don't think I should keep focusing on it I mean I can shun it all I want in my speech but that won't prevent another relapse
