Tooth Decay / Bruxism / Cavities / Demineralization

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Aug 8, 2022.

  1. Has anyone suspected that it's possible that PMO caused or worsened any dental issues? I have read in Chinese and Ayurvedic texts that this is entirely possible. I'm not sure whether it's down to demineralization or something else. Also, there is a documentary released in the early 2000's in which a PMO addict sees a TCM doctor who tells him, "if you don't quit, you will have tooth aches, loose teeth, weak knees, exhaustion, depression, psychological disorders, impotence, erectile dysfunction." Then he is told that masturbation is causing whole body problems.

I've noticed for some time that after days of binging and/or edging, I feel like my teeth become overly sensitive to Vitamin C (from lime or lemon, for example) and also hot and cold food and drinks (like ice cream). I experience nocturnal and awake bruxism (grinding teeth) as well. This is not the case during periods of abstinence. Coincidence? Is there more to this?

I have noticed teeth grinding/jaw clenching when I went cold Turkey. My gf kept asking me why I’m doing it, I didn’t even realize I was. After being clean for 3+ months now I no longer do it

I've never had many dental issues and I've been PMOing for like 17ish years now? But I do wonder about the strength of my bones in general and maybe what effect it may have on that. We all know it impacts the psychological issues though. Prob best to just make sure you are taking a calcium supplement and keep up on muiltivitamins.

    The doctor is absolutely right,

PMO IS AN ABSOLUTE DESTRUCTION OF LIFE. COMPLETELY DESTROYS THE BRAIN, BODY AND SPIRIT, IT'S REALLY PAINFUL WHAT IT DOES TO A HUMAN BODY.

I'd literally shoot myself in the head with my dad,s revolver before I ever relapse again, it's better to end it once and for all the to live like a subhuman scum and become a joke to the unforgiving evil society, I'm not falling for the devils trap again.

  5. Yeah, that's Bruxism. There's a thread specifically about this. Apparently, it's a thing among addicts in general. If you don't mind me asking, how dependent on or addicted to PMO were you? Had you made edging a habit? No worries if that's too personal a question.

No I think the more info out there the better. The medical community needs to start taking this issue seriously (PMO addiction and it’s withdrawals). But I’ve used since I was around 12 years old, I’m late 20s now. It got so bad I was sometimes using for 6 or more hours a day. I feel like I’m an extreme case

  7. I'm glad you're on the mend now. If you were regularly PMOing at a rate of several hours per session, staying away for 3 months is a huge accomplishment.

  8. Yeah I've experienced same issues. My teeth are so sensitive that even a soft toothbrush hurts them. Pmo question our nervous system.

  9. I also deal with Bruxism. I went to the dentist the other day and they literally asked me about it immediately at my checkup. I guess it's that noticeable. Like some of you, I have a lingering suspicion that it's due to my p/m/o habit over the years.

It's interesting to explore the potential connections between PMO (Porn Masturbation Orgasm) and dental issues like tooth sensitivity, bruxism (teeth grinding), and overall dental health. While there may not be conclusive scientific evidence directly linking these factors, it's essential to consider how lifestyle choices and habits can affect our health.
