Checking in. Past the two week mark. No major P issues. Urges every so often, but managed using a lot of the techniques on here. Spending time daily on this site and meditation is helping hugely. Going for the first 30 days now!
checking in. Going on a date today, not sure if thats the best idea right now, but hey, i gotta keep living my life.
Thanks. Psyched to be at 4th days. Biggest streak for me at 4 days. Going for 4.5 days in a few hours.
The four days is my longest record where I am consciously aware of each day and checked in quite a bit. I can see how it can be helpful to check in. I"m able to see a bit more benefit of nofap. Sometimes I question it possibly to justify a waste of time. it makes sense now how nofap gives strength. the mot successful are not watching PMO. It is a waste of time no matter what. Also, i'm understanding that it builds a noticeable boost in willpower. had a wedding and came back very late last night. at home on a sunday and tired in bed. Trying to make it to 2pm today no PMO. Have 4 hours left. I think if i make it to fifth day at 2pm i will super psyched. Have 4 hours left. Not sure what I should do today. Have a headache. not sure if i should go to the gym or work on my resume. just need to write this stuff out.
Fell off PMO wagon before 5 day goal. been a rough day. Saw all of my close guy friends last night and one of them gave me pot as a birthday gift. Didn't ask for expect it and felt bad not accepting. probably made PMO harder. need to throw it out.
good morning group, almost slipped up this morning, but luckily i had the peace of mind to just go back to sleep. Still going strong, trekking into newer territory every day.
Is it better not to go on dates? I realize it's a personal decision. but curious about people's thoughts.
no, it's not fun when you PMO and the feelings you get are shit, but you can do it. Just stay strong and avoid those triggers....
@FreebirdFH this may take some time. What I have found that works for me, is recognising the triggers. When they are recognised, you can act on them. You should have a plan, something like opening this site, or physically moving away from where the trigger is, or having a cold shower (I’m not so keen on that one!) I wrote about this in my journal today, as I had the realisation (which I know I’m not the first to have) that identifying the trigger has been so powerful, along with questioning what my brain wants to do. But, you have to find what works for you. There are loads of suggestions around this site, and it may not happen straight away, but don’t give up. Keep trying things, until something works. Everyone is different, dealing with a similar problem, but may need a different remedy to overcome the problem. Sorry, I can’t offer you the silver bullet to solve it. You may have to find it yourself, but with the number of people here, your solution is bound to be here somewhere. Key message: Don’t give up! If you need any reason for giving up, remember how you felt when you wrote the posts above, and next time you feel the urge, remember it again. There’s lots of posts on this site about how wonderful it feels to be Pornfree. That’s where I want to be, where you want to be.
