    2/365 - Felt some urges today but I went out and hung out with friends instead. First couple days are the hardest for me.

  2. This is exactly the issue I have. At the very start when I signed up to the NoFap website, I did 60 days. Since then (in January-February) I haven’t done more than 2 weeks. I’ve been with this addiction for 30 years. In that whole time I’ve never been more than about 3 months. It’s the same as you say. I start looking at porn after some period of abstinence, and decide I really like it. A few weeks go by & I realise I’ve been deluded, then I’m back to the abstinence, then I look again & the cycle repeats.

    I think there are no easy answers, otherwise we wouldn’t be here on this site. Sometimes I just resign myself to never getting any better, other times I have more hope. I do think this community can help, but we have to want to be helped, which sometimes (at least for me), isn’t the case.

    I made it to day 5. Day 4 seemed to drag on forever, I hope today is easier.

    Back to 0. Still proud that I got almost three days but in. I also realized some activities I could do to take my mind off of PMO.

    Had a huge wet dream last night, it was just me having regular sex though, no porn stuff. I feel like my body needed the release because im feeling relaxed today :)

    Yeah, when you're in that mindset of "I like it," basically consider your brain occupied territory.

    If you have time for a binge, you have time for a workout. If your routine has not been working for you, disrupt it as much as possible. If you're used to taking certain routes, change it up. If you sit in a certain seat in class or on the bus, sit somewhere else. Go out of your way to do things differently. Eat differently. Cut your portions. Hit the cold showers. Think ahead, keep your workout gear ready to go. Every day, play the game of "find something to clean and clean it." Draw up a things to do list and put it on top of your laptop before you leave. Put the power cord and the battery for your laptop with your running shoes and gym clothes. Give yourself opportunities to make the right choice.

    Basically, don't argue, send a message. Which part of you is in charge?

    Pleasure is not necessarily the equivalent of well-being. Often not even close. This thing has never been your friend. It has robbed you, sabotaged your every move, and stabbed you in the back just over and over. Refresh your memory about how you felt when you when you have had some breathing room between you and your adversary. It may not always be as intense at this point, but it is more pure and enduring and you should be able to have felt the potential for something much greater.

    C'mon, another 24 hours won't kill you!

    I agree 100%, but I'm sure this is not the unanimous opinion on Nofap. A drop of blood in the water, and the sharks will circle.

  12. Thanks for setting me straight. I probably needed a reminder like this to get back on track. Rationalizing porn as a 'friend' is mental poison for sure and I can take measures in advance to ensure that I at least go 24 hours without PMO.

  14. I tend to think that we may have enabling beliefs that we me not be aware of that are authorizing our indulgence subconsciously. For me I have found out that thinking that soft core porn is not as dangerous as hard core has been one of the enabling beliefs which I need to purge completely. May be, we need to seriously examine our beliefs. I don't know. I don't want to give up or give in but it is desperately hard at the moment.

    it is not your friend it is crystal meth and even worse because it poison your mind too.
    you should change your belief about it ,otherwise you will live in fantasy world not real yworld.
    every time you escape from reality to porn your body is becoming weaker and the problems out there is accumulating till the point you will not solve them anymore. it is the world that we are leaving in.
    fasten your belt firmly and every day take a step to solve your problem and loading to reach the point you wanna be.
    you said some thing good to me, it is not difference between the soft one or hard one or even small triggers ,kill all of them in yourside and the powerful mindset toward sex is as follow: sex is a physical activity between two right persons with the aim of giving birth by woman and or deepening relationship or use it as a drug by them and not for pleasure.
    letting sexual thought to wander and walk in our mind is addictive and is disease. it is not real my friend.
    in this way your body is becoming addictive to the thoughts that leads to mental and physical disorders from decreasing the self esteem to backache .
    so enrich your mind with good materials and pick a healthy life styles that leads to prosprous life ,not lose yourself in fantasy,don't let your body fantasize intentionally for a while,you should break this habit and addiction.
    focus on a character you wanna be, take a step toward it in a daily basis and expand its feature in your mind.

    it was encouraging ,i hope you reach a point where you have a healthy life style and your body and mind is the same and with productive harmony.
